Look at this portion and tell me isit worth $5.50? it wasnt even that bad HAHAHA when they first open. But OMG within a span a few years what pathetic portion is this??? Are yall like lazy to cook more chicken that yall have to give us portion that is SOOOO small ;;

This has gotta be the worst Encik Tan outlet with its consistently meagre portion size (vegs barely given even though it's supposed to be the most abundant and cheapest ingredient?). Chicken cutlet looks like the chicken got killed before it became an adult. Sauce also barely given. Compared to outside outlets, this NTU outlet is the worst.

Located in an air-conditioned room, so it's comfortable. It can get crowded during lunch, but the service is pretty quick. Food is decent, with rice and noodle options. I wish the portions were a bit bigger for the price, though.

i have been a fan of encik tan for a long time now. in fact i was extremely excited when they decided to open a branch in NTU, i brought friends there for most of my lunches and many students like me enjoy encik tan - evident from the long snaking queues during peak hours that last for nearly 30 minutes each time. however, my experience today (3 september, wednesday, 1pm) frustrated me deeply. i queued for approximately 20 minutes and ordered my usual set A (curry rice with chicken cutlet). i have known from patronising the stall for about 3 semesters now that the size of chicken cutlets has decreased over the last 1.5 years (thats okay/slightly sad, but the variation and shrinkflation is understandable). BUT TODAY!! TODAY!! THE SIZE OF MY CHICKEN WAS THREE FINGERS THICC. 😭🤏 AND DA CURRY. DONT GET ME STARTED. THE CURRY. WAS LIKE 1TBLSPN of curry mixed into 500ML OF WATER. 😭😭 i was so upset. because what happened to the delicious thick gravy that i love from encik tan?? i walked away sadly, with my plate of food that i paid $5.30 for. in fact, when i ate it, the rice was clumpy and compressed — nearly like a kueh. but i was already upset enough. i am pretty certain that my experience would differ greatly if i ordered from a different branch! I understand that in NTU, the queues are long and the serving is pretty systematic and fast-paced. but that cannot excuse the strongly watered down gravy and rice quality. afterall, we are paying the same price for the same set.students deserve the same standards as any other branch, if not better. ❤️ i truly hope Encik Tan NTU takes this feedback seriously and upholds the brand’s reputation, instead of letting students walk away disappointed and disillusioned.

This place is getting worse by the day. The staff especially the uncle gives portions that are meagre compared to the price??! This is 5.50 for less than a bowl of rice and barely half a cutlet...
