Si Chuan Xiao Chu is a newly opened restaurant that offers authentic chinese dishes at very reasonable prices. Vegetable dishes are typically priced around 6–8, while meat dishes range from 8–12, making it a good option for casual dining with friends and family. The flavours are impressive and taste quite authentic. One thing to note is that the dishes can be slightly oily, which is quite common for Sichuan cooking. If you prefer lighter flavours, it would be a good idea to request less oil when ordering, as the chef tends to be quite generous with it. Overall, this is a promising addition to the quiet canteen.

3 stars For the Sichuan meishi stall Got 鱼香肉丝 Stir fry wasn't authentic but it's passable, it's got this tomato sauce taste to it. Significantly more veg than meat, so the ratio is off One problem w this stall is that sometimes huge Chinese groups order from it, and ytd there was a group of 12 who ordered 12 dishes and the wait time was 1h Aunty is very nice tho, gave me the rice for free 4stars for the caifan stall Execution was on point for most of the items, came 2 days in a row and ordered 9 dishes in total, amaranth was a bit undercooked, curry ckn could have the flavour penetrate abit more, and the rest were all good. Highly recommended, it's hard to get so many things right, esp at a very reasonable price (second pic was half eaten, because I expected everything to be well executed and this I didn't need to review again, but it wasn't so) 疆来: 3 stars Stupid Google didn't let me add this new stall Very overpriced, the rice with mutton didn't have much mutton, pickles were way too strong, and mutton wasn't tender Skewers were tender, but not crispy. Decent for hawker standards 椒麻鸡 flavour was good, but portion is abysmal. This full portion that's 10bucks has 3 huge bones, 2 from winglet and one from drumstick. So there's very little meat here 奶皮子酸奶 was firm and superb, very thick and flavourful, almost like eating butter but in the best way

I don’t stay near Hall9 but order Cates on a daily basis. Can9 food forms at least half of my Cates order. Lan la mian is as good as JP’s she jian jian, half the price w premium quality soup base and beef. Must try pickled vege soup, so heavenly good. Jiang Lai’s lamb rice, bbq and potato chicken are incredible, not just the taste, but also the meat used. I can taste its quality and freshness. Chun Jiao Luo Si fen serves authentic luo si fen. What a pity it doesnt accept Cates order any more.

Jiu Li Xiang serves authentic Chinese cuisine & in big portions (so much that the auntie will stop u if she thinks it’s too much for your group to finish)! Do try the 四川水煮鱼 (Sichuan boiled fish with chilli sauces) & 宫保鸡丁 (gong bao chicken). There’s also Lan Lamian at the side. IG @pingguo301
