Ah Er Soup is the go-to spot for comforting, delicious Chinese herbal soups. The soups are flavorful, nourishing, and packed with quality ingredients. Favorites like the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and Lotus Root Soup are a must-try. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Perfect for a healthy and hearty meal!

At the recommendation of my colleagues who swear by this soup stall, I braved the blazing heat of the wild west which is Yuan Ching and wandered into Jurong Superbowl with colleagues in tow in search of this legendary soup. What greeted me was a sauna of a food court somewhat of a cantina vibe just alot more chaotic. Anyway, the stall has a slew of soups, not being much of a fan of it i opted for the Lotus root with peanut soup with an order of Olive Rice, braised pork trotters (yes, again), and stuffed Tofu. Now I must say the soup was hearty, with lots of feel good nourishing stuff inside. The taste was robust, sweet yet savory too, very home cooked type of taste thanks to the generous helpings of pork ribs, peanuts and of course lotus roots. The olive rice was extremely fragrant had chunks of olives in it that contrasted perfectly with the soup. Dunk the ribs into the cut chillis with the soya sauce and this is borderline BKT but with a more satisfying aftertaste. The trotters were average, but I did enjoy the stuffed tofu, just make sure to cover it in the topped chillis for a good kick. I tried my colleague's Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and it packed a massive kick of unami, now I understand why this stall is so highly recommended. If ever I make another Journey to the West, I might actually pop by again to try out more stuff from this stall.

Buddha Jumps Over the Wall @8.50 The soup was very thick and delicious. The olive/pumpkin rice was also good.

Love their braised pork trotter very much, tender, juicy and huge portion of meat. Its very generous portion at $7, i cooked pork trotter before so I knew the cost is almost the same or higher , not to mentioned the time needed. Bought 5 recently to each family members. Highly recommend their black chicken soup, watercress pork rib soup too.

Soup was very delicious and value for money. I had the Buddha jump over the wall for $7- although little more pricey for standard food court fare, there were generous amount of ingredients in the soup. Fish maw, mock abalone, and a huge piece of chicken. Recommended.
