Cafe by the park, relaxing and enabling one to replenish one’s stomach 😂. Price wise is attractive, considering the ambience the place is having. Food taste is good, at least it’s not those “looks nicer than it taste” type. Order is convenient by using the QR Code to access the menu and payment can be done using card. This place integrates ApplePay too.

Nice new cafe at the expanded Jurong Lake Gardens. The food was great! We ordered the big breakfast and egg mayo sandwich. The mocha was good too. Nice place to hangout looking out to the garden.

A coffee and skate concept located next to Lakeside Skate Park, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲 provides a rest stop for parkour and skate board enthusiasts as well as park users. Opened by adventure sports company The Ride Side, the cafe is created in collaboration with The Assembly Ground. Diners can enjoy food outdoors with a view of nature, or indoors amidst decks of skateboards, accessories and merchandise on display. Along the store front are brightly coloured skateboards available for rent, with the establishment offering free community skate classes on weekends, subject to availability of slots. The large variety in the menu has something for everyone in the family, beginning with casual foods like burgers and grilled sandwiches. These can be ordered either ala-carte or as a combo with fries and a soft drink. The cafe’s pride and joy in this series are the Trick Stacker Burger and 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝘁. The latter features slices of 24-hour slow roasted beef brisket, piled with vintage cheddar, caramelised onion, roma tomatoes and romaine lettuces packed between two slices of sourdough bread. The bread slices are nicely toasted yet soft, with a slight tang in every bite to complement the savoury. The tomato and lettuce made it clean tasting without overpowering it with a grassy taste. The supposed highlight of the dish, the beef brisket, was unfortunately tough and interrupts the experience of an otherwise easily downed meal. The dish could have also included more meat and cheese to make the dish feel hearty; but it can be appreciated for feeling like a lighter snack. Heavier portions are offered, from Applewood Smoked Sirloin Steak and Surf & Turf, as well as kid-friendly meals like Fish & Chips and Mac & Cheese. Aside from that are pastas like the 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮. The protein to carb ratio is truly well balanced; the beef comes in sizeable strips and free of the gamey taste. Unfortunately, the beef here is similarly tough to chew and though had a melt-in-your-mouth texture on the outside, it got dry on the inside. Other condiments like parsley could have been added to give a bright visual to the dish, but other than that, the dish felt homely and comforting with its savoury beef broth with tender mushrooms. The spaghetti was cooked al-dente and coated just right with the sauce, finding the right balance between dry and soupy. Drinks range from coffees and teas to smoothies and milkshakes. For the fitness enthusiasts, the 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 smoothie showcases a finesse of pineapple, orange and pink guava blended together with natural yoghurt. The beverage is both refreshing and smooth, instead of the icy or chunky kind some cafes would opt for. Overall, the food is well priced and executed as expected, but doesn’t feel like something worth travelling down for; the nearest drop off point, MRT station and parking is at least 10 minutes walk away. It is nonetheless a nice addition to a tranquil park with various sports and leisure activities, catered to all ages.

A restaurant with an excellent view of the Jurong Lake, nice spacious ambiance, and delicious food at a reasonable price. We ordered the bacon club sandwich, egg mayo sandwich, flat white, iced latte. Coffee is nice as well.

Nice park, nice food, chill atmosphere. The fish and chip batter is light and not bad, the kam heong lingue get abit overwhelming toward the end, wish the aircon can be slightly stronger cos the weather is very hot when I visited the park.
