I went for a walk around Jurong Lake with my best friend, Monica, and she mentioned that Canopy was probably one of the nicest café-style restaurants in the area, so we decided to stop by afterwards. It is quite easy to find. Once you cross the connecting bridge from Jurong Lake Gardens, you will see Canopy built into the main structure, with large floor-to-ceiling glass windows that make the whole place feel bright and open. During the day, the window seats may feel a little warm because of Singapore’s weather and the strong sunlight, but the indoor area is fully air-conditioned and very comfortable. The restaurant itself is spacious and can accommodate quite a large crowd. The tables are also generously sized, so there is plenty of space if you are ordering several dishes. The seating does not feel cramped, which makes the whole dining experience more relaxed. Since we were only stopping for a light snack after our walk, we ordered some drinks and a portion of tater tots. The drink was similar to a lemon tea, and I liked that you could adjust the sugar level, which is helpful if you prefer a lighter or healthier option. The tater tots were freshly prepared, crispy on the outside and served hot. They paired nicely with the cheese sauce that came with them. Nothing we ordered was particularly exceptional, but the freshness and quality were definitely there. The service was warm and friendly, and because we visited at night, the place was much quieter. It was a nice spot to relax, catch up, and simply spend some time together without feeling rushed. Overall, Canopy is a lovely place mainly because of its ambience. It is spacious, comfortable and surrounded by a peaceful setting, with a good variety of food. It would be a great place for brunch, a weekend gathering, or a casual stop after a walk around Jurong Lake.
View on GoogleThe food was really good and tasty! Thought it would be a normal cafe but it exceeded our expectations. The music playlist was a total vibe as well. It was quiet and this cafe needs more attention for the quality it’s offering. I live at the east and came to Chinese Garden to visit and was happy we made the choice to have our food at Canopy. The service was also really nice and warm. We had smoked duck , fish and chips, Caesar Salad , calamari , chicken pesto and margarita and tea
View on Googlebig shoutout to Johnson and the entire team at Canopy, Jurong Garden! 🌿😊 From the moment we arrived, everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The team made us feel comfortable throughout our visit, and their attentive service really stood out. It’s always nice to dine at a place where the staff greet you with smiles and make the whole experience enjoyable. Thank you, Johnson and the team, for your excellent hospitality. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back again. Keep up the amazing work! 👏❤️
View on GoogleHad lunch at this lovely restaurant in the garden. The set lunch was nice and reasonably priced at around $20. It’s such a relaxing place to enjoy a meal, especially surrounded by greenery. 😊 It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop or car park, but definitely worth the walk!
View on GoogleA great cafe in the midst of Chinese Gardens. We were able to enjoy a nice and quiet lunch despite it being a weekend and everywhere would normally be swamped. Food was surprising good as noted by many. Our Caesar salad, mushroom soup and carbonara pasta was nicely presented and great tasting. Happy that it wasn’t one of those ‘tourist trap’! The vegetable growing display was somewhat strange looking due to the lighting. Neither appetizing nor imparting a natural organic vibe. Cafe was a small walk from the car park entering through Chinese Gardens gates. Better signages will be appreciated as we had to ask for directions from the park’s customer service.
