Lamb shank was off-the-bone tender. It came in a generous portion, with a delicious gravy! Fried Hainanese pork chop was crispy yet tender. Classic flavour with a sauce that tasted a bit like HP sauce on the side. We started digging in before taking pics (oops) but you can see how tender the meat is. Perfect place for nostalgic and delectable local-style Western food. Service was very attentive, changing out our plates and cutlery when needed. Also, it was nice to see the owner/boss work alongside his staff.

Hidden gem on this whole stretch of restaurants! Definitely must come try for the excellent food and affordable price. The set meal includes soup, garlic bread. salad, coffee or tea and dessert. The salad was creamy, fresh and served with raisins. The garlic bread was crispy, flavorful and light. It went well with the served soup of the day, seafood chowder, which was smooth and decadant. The grilled pork, lamb shank and pacific dory fish and chips style were all excellent, filling and absolutely worth the price! If the food wasnt enough to convince you, the restaurant and its atmosphere will!

Old school hainanese western. Have set lunches for weekdays as well which includes salad, soup, dessert. Taste pretty good. Ordered the chicken and lamb combo set and oxtail stew. The lamb is slightly tough but chicken is not bad. Oxtail stew is one of their signature and is pretty good. This is tender and sauce is good. Comes with veg and mash potato, both yummy. Seated outdoors but not hot. Better to make reservations especially if you want indoors. Set cost abt $26, oxtail stew as well. Set is quite worth but not considered cheap for hdb area. Reminds me of the ship at shaw.

Chanced upon this Fantastic family owned restaurant located in the heart of Sunset Way. Nicely situated at a corner. Has seats indoors and outdoors. Nicely ventilated. The portions are generous and deliciously made from scratch. Their pumpkin soup is very flavourful. Their butter walnut cake is not too oily. Their signature dish: oxtail stew. The meat was soft and melted in my mouth. Wasn't rubbery. Flavourful. Would recommend. Their hotplate dishes reminded me of the old school western meals we had. Steak, fresh prawns, german sausage... Baked potato with the spreads produced a great combination Their waiters are very friendly and attentive. Their boss Mr Jeremy Say was very approachable, not pushy and made good recommendations too. Special shout out to Ms Wong. Found out that she has been working with the company for more than 15years already. This store has been around since the 1980s, and (fairly recently) moved to this neighbourhood for the past 5yrs, hopefully for many more years!

Very cozy restaurant, straight from Pinterest sort of place. The food tastes just like how they look. Warm, nice portion and flavourful. Price for that much food was approx $35 (set having to add $5.80, which consisted of a bowl of salad, soup of the day, garlic bread, a drink and dessert of the day, if not the sirloin steak would be under $30), which was very worth it! 100% recommend to anyone looking for a place for family and friends meals
