I recently ordered takeaway dinner from Feng Wei Seafood, opting for the horfun and salted egg chicken rice. Unfortunately, both dishes were rather mediocre in taste. However, what truly soured the experience was the attitude of the staff. When we requested to have Hokkien noodles with a mix of beehoon, a common practice at other zichar stalls and even at the previous stall occupying the space, the auntie bluntly refused, stating they don't mix noodles. This left us with no choice but to decline the extra order of Hokkien mee. The dismissive attitude and lack of flexibility in accommodating customer preferences were disappointing and frankly unacceptable. As a result, we have no plans to return to Feng Wei Seafood in the future.

Drinks Stall There is a young woman there whose conduct is really hateful. Once she got my order wrong. Instead of admitting, she said I ordered wrongly. The whole time I was eating, she walked nearby to give me triumphant and defiant looks. There was an occasion she walked past from behind and uttered something. Economy Rice Generally friendly guys. Most of them smile and make eye contact. But these great service providers tend not to stay long. There is also two brothers looking quite like twins. The one with the blond hair is the friendlier of the two and initiate small talk. The other with black hair don't look at you and sometimes sneer on the side. Ah Fang Fish Soup They also sell pork ribs noodles. Their version of the dry noodles is to add some water and soy sauce. No taste at all. Basically noodles mixed with a bit of water. You don't get the flavorful thick sauce that is typically associated with dry noodles. They actually sell and charge for this type of standard. Novices? Trying to stinge on oil and sauce. Coffee stall Got my order wrong once. Young lady said I ordered what. Customer's fault not hers. To avoid any more misunderstandings, I stopped ordering. The toast was thin and hard. Hard on the teeth. With little spread of - I can't make out if it is kaya or something else. Served by the loudmouth auntie who is better off as a SCDF public alarm system. She has a habit of yelling behind my back when I am buying economy rice. Cleaner Uncle. Now this guy has always been nice and always took orders for our coffee. And brought them to us with a smile. The other day my dad asked him about coffee as usual. The guy erupted in a volcanic fit :"You want to order coffee, go and order from the stall. I am overworked already!" Wild mood swings?! Or has he gone crazy?

I used to eat chicken rice weekly at this place (dine in). However, recently I ordered half chicken take away; twice on different day.. when reached home only realised that the so call half chicken didn’t include the drumstick instead they add in breast meat. This had happened twice. Dishonestly will not get customer to return to your stall. Tried the duck/ char Shao stall. Char Shao over burnt, texture was too hard and cannot chew at all. Bought this home for my parents . Both are unhappy with the food.

Yak Hong Coffeeshop along Clementi Ave 1 is a favorite go-to spot for nearby locals. Expect a brisk queue during dining hours, but the wait is worth it. In the morning, the kaya butter toast set comes highly recommendation. For quick meal, you can find a great selection from the mixed rice stall. Steam buns are also available if you're in the mood for something light. The western food stall serves up satisfying portions of deep-fried chicken with pasta, while the Indian Muslim stall offers tasty briyani and other typical items like thosai or prata; their curries are particularly loved by regular patrons. Don't miss out on the zichar stall either, which features a wide variety of cooked seafood, meat, chicken, and tofu dishes—perfect for family dinners. Overall, Yak Hong Coffeeshop has something to please every palate!

My colleagues and I are glad to have this coffeeshop open as it is a cleaner and brighter environment, than the one across the road. Food and drink prices here are generally reasonable and the stalls offer decent variety. If anything, come here for caifan and drinks! Both open as early as 630am so breakfast fix can be taken care of easily.
