Visited the Hawker Street for brunch today. While I can't compare the fried hokkien prawn mee to the original Bukit Batok outlet, the quality at this Clementi Mall branch was good. Btw, it’s a smart move by the mall to bring all those famous names under one roof so we don't have to travel all over the island for good food. Definitely worth a return visit to explore the other stalls.
View on GoogleMuch better than the previous foodcourt in terms of food choice and quality, brightness and cleanliness of the tables, trays and cutlery. However, the pricing may not be palatable to some. So far I’ve only had the hakka ytf, beef noodle, meesiam and kaya toast set. Kaya toast set is much better than those from the chains downstairs that are overpriced and only give one slice of bread. Here, you get two perfectly toasted pieces with generous slabs of better (will probably ask for less due to health) with perfectly cooked eggs. The eggs are cooked in a water bath which I believe is rare for foodcourts. I’ve had the kopi o kosong twice. Not sure what coffee grounds they are using but it was perfect. Good place to start if you want to start drinking kosong. The only bad thing is that there is only one queue for dessert and drinks, which is very inefficient.
View on GoogleUpdate: Be prepared to wait for wanton noodle. long queue! chicken rice set is quite expensive for the quantity of chicken given. Scissors cut rice - quality so-so. Ordered curry pork chop - quantity was alright. $6.50 for the plate of rice you see in the picture.
View on GoogleHighly DO NOT recommend KWEE HENG TEOCHEW BRAISED DUCK stall. Its is a SCAM Michelin Star. I ordered $6.50 duck rice and requested for breast meat + add tou kua ($1.50). The portion is not only pathetic (the kind of shop where they halved the meat) , they did not give me breast meat. The tou kua portion is so small. Duck is super salty and extremely tasteless… not even sure how did they make it to open a shop here. It’s worse than the usual $3-$4 duck rice you get at hawker centres. DO NOT patronise it’s a scam.
View on GoogleVery impressed with the new Hawkers’ Street at Clementi Mall. It brings together an exciting mix of Singapore’s best hawker names, including 5 Michelin Bib Gourmand stalls — so you’re truly spoilt for choice! The food quality is excellent across the board with generous portions and fair pricing. The dining area is clean, well-ventilated and very comfortable even during busy periods. Staff are friendly and service is efficient. A modern take on the hawker experience while still feeling authentic. Perfect for families, students and everyday meals. Highly recommended!
