This is a relatively small coffee shop with limited seating. Although the round table was marked as reserved by the zi char stall, the chicken-rice stall owner was kind enough to let us use it, provided we did not use the zi char stall’s utensils. A small but genuinely appreciated gesture. The poached chicken was cooked beautifully—tender, succulent and juicy. You could even see a crystal-clear layer of collagen jelly between the skin and meat, which showed how well the chicken had been prepared. I only wish the rice had been a little more fragrant, but overall, this is still a good and satisfying option whenever I am around the Choa Chu Kang area.

Relatively (compared to many other hawkers/coffeeshops) GENEROUS portion of chicken (~130g of chicken on avg for $6 set, yes i weighed it out 🙂‍↕️👍). Value to quality ratio is amazing 💯. Meat is tender and not dry (even for breast, thigh is the best) 4 out of 5 days that i eat from this stall. Soup changes everyday! Chicken is accompanied with pickled veggies which i LOVE. I always ask for more sauce to be drizzled over my chicken because i like my chicken doused in that yummy sauce. Very minimal to no gaminess 💯. Non biased review! I come here so often because I genuinely love their chicken rice, to the point that the uncle recognises our order+xtra sauce even without saying anything to him LOL. The auntie is really nice and efficient in her job as well!! queue can be long but moves super fast❤️❤️ I don’t know why some reviews shit on their service :P Pls support them!

Visited this place after seeing a few TikTok videos. 3 pax lunch costs about $33.00. Ordered half steamed chicken, half roasted chicken added gizzards plus 2 plates of rice. Chicken rice is nice but not like next level fragrant. Both steamed and roasted chicken meat is tender. Condiments are usual chilli sauce and dark sauce. Overall nice place and can give it a try.

have visited multiple times at the quality and standard stays. portion and price is very reasonable. tried the roasted chicken and its very fragrant and tender, sauce and chilli pairs incredibly well so its very appetising. the rice is also fragrant and flavored nicely, not overly oily. also tried the curry chicken rice noodles on a few occasion and its so good. the curry is just nice not too thick or watered down, slightly spicy. Uncle will ask if want more spicy, and help add chilli paste. will be visiting again very soon.

I went specifically to try after seeing the 3 celebrity chefs trying it. I was not disappointed. The chicken was very well done but the rice can be better. Achar was good too. Service was prompt and friendly while the coffeeshop was clean and tidy.
