Ordered the $5.50 chicken rice set and was visually blown away when everything landed on the tray — rice, chicken, soup, egg, fried beancurd, and achar. Still not sure how they make a profit with so muck food. The soup was good, and while the rest didn’t wow, they delivered solid average‑to‑good quality. As expected, the queue was long for such a value‑for‑money stall.

Chicken breast was smooth and tender cut in thin slices and small portion for standard $3.80. Rice had the balance of oil and flavour but not enough fragrance. With fresh ginger-garlic and chilli sauces mixed with dark sauce and a topping of fried shallot crisps, and a bowl of dan gui soup, this was a classic and tasty chicken rice.

I had chicken rice all across Singapore as I have to travel the island for work. This is by far my favorite chicken rice, and it's affordable price is just a bonus! The chicken rice in this picture is only $3.50 (2024), can you believe it? Great tasting chicken, superb rice, and good chilli! Meeting the trio factor of chicken rice at affordable pricing! I have returned to this stall several times already. Try it for yourself!

6 slices of chicken and rice for $3.50 totally not worth it. chili tasted sweet and soup tasted blend, rice doesn't taste like chicken rice at all. will never eat this store again
