I ordered the Fuzhou Minced Meat Noodle (Item 3a on the menu), opting for Mee Pok. At $5.50 with extra noodles, it is a reasonably priced bowl given the portion size. Flavour Profile: The stall claims to offer "古早味" (traditional taste) dating back to 1985, and it definitely lives up to that promise. The flavour foundation is solid, largely thanks to the generous use of lard, which gave the noodles a wonderful, aromatic coating. The Noodles: The Mee Pok came topped with a generous heap of minced meat. Texture-wise, they were a little softer than I usually prefer. The bowl was also served a bit dry initially, but a quick drizzle of the accompanying soup solved that problem immediately, hydrating the noodles nicely and helping to mix the sauce evenly. The Ingredients: The highlight for me was the Fuzhou fishballs. They were excellent—bouncy on the outside and juicy on the inside with that savoury meat filling. It’s rare to find them done this well. The Verdict: Despite the noodles being slightly on the soft side, the flavours here are on point. It’s a satisfying bowl of traditional noodles with great lard flavour and standout fishballs. I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on their extensive menu.
View on GoogleOne of my favorite noodle stalls at Senja Hawker Centre since I started exploring the food options there about six months ago. My go-to order is the Signature Dry Yellow Noodle (white version - no chili, no ketchup, no dark sauce). Over time, my wife and I realized that not everyone prepares the noodles the same way. We feel the uncle in the photo does it the best as he is more generous with what we would call the "soul" of the dish - 猪油渣 (crispy pork lard). These days, we only order when he is cooking. I understand he works the morning shift and usually finishes around mid-afternoon. Service is typical of a hawker setting: you order, you pay and they move on to the next customer. The person taking orders is not particularly friendly but that is within expectations for this kind of environment, as long as it does not become unpleasant.
View on GoogleYour standard neighborhood noodle stall. Fishball, barchor, laksa and soup. My go to if i need some noodle fix. Not exceptional nut not bad too. Portions. Are reasonable. What I have here is barchor mee pol dry non-spicy. When i am sick, i buy their bee tai bak soup. Feels good. Take note that auntie and uncle is old. Memory and hearing not so good. It doesn’t take much to repeat our order.

View on GoogleHeng Heng Noodle House at Senja Hawker Centre is a solid choice for noodle lovers, serving up fresh mee pok and coconut-rich laksa in a casual, no-frills setting. It’s not grab-your-attention fancy, but it hits familiar comfort notes with quality and consistency. The laksa stood out — robust coconut-spiced broth with fishcake and tau pok, typical of the “Katong-style” laksa. It’s hearty, warming, and hits the right balance of spicy and creamy. The mee pok (dry noodles) also impressed: springy, tossed in savory sauce, topped with minced pork, fishballs, and a pleasing zing of texture and flavor. A spoonful of their house-made dried chili adds the perfect kick. Service is efficient, and even though the stall is often busy, orders are taken and filled quickly.
