It's such a great spot for a quick meal that feels both comforting and familiar. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, making it even better. The star of the menu had to be the noodles only $3.50, yet packed with flavor and delightfully crunchy. Plus point that they allow pets to dine outside with you! Super nice They have just the right balance of taste and texture, reminiscent of that Cantonese Hong Kong vibe. You’ll love digging into the warm rice topped with charsiew and that runny egg yolk they call ecstasy rice. It really feels authentic and satisfying.
View on GoogleYi Qian always has consistent great food with high quality. Our family always enjoys the dim sum and food here and even bring out of town guests here. Their steamed rice roll with crispy shrimp is very delicious, freshly made, better and uniquely and different from restaurants! Their noodles are nicely al dente too. Highly recommend! 👍🏻
View on GoogleTried the HK style dry noodles with char siew, hot & spicy dumplings, and a cup of iced HK milk tea (less sweet). The noodles were springy and well-coated with sauce, and the dumplings were tasty with just the right amount of heat. The milk tea was smooth and fragrant, and the “less sweet” option was just nice. The only letdown was the char siew — it was a little hard and dry, and leaned too much on the sweet side for my liking. That aside, the overall meal was satisfying, and the friendly and efficient service made the dining experience pleasant. Would come back to try other dishes!
View on GoogleWe were walking around Rail Mall looking for a lunch spot and decided to try Yi Qian Hong Kong Cafe since we hadn’t been there before. Unfortunately, the food was quite below average for us. The noodles were overcooked and soggy, the congee lacked ingredients and tasted quite bland, and the char siew was very fatty. The roast pork skin also wasn’t crispy, which was disappointing. We ended up finishing what we ordered but went elsewhere afterward because we were so dissatisfied with the meal. Needless to say, I wouldn’t be going back.
View on GoogleBarely 8.30pm, the staff is like chasing all the customers out of the cafe. We enter the cafe around 8pm and the menu was snatch away. The Malay cake came but the teas, we had to go ask for it .. and no more egg tarts. And the tea came tasting bad and given the sugar syrup. Now I know the tea is made with high fructose corn syrup. I ask for sugar and I had to go to the kitchen twice before I was given the sugar so that the tea won’t be so cold to dissolve the sugar. It’s really a bad experience and no going back there again.
