Had lunch at Eat Rail Mall. Cozy atmosphere with, 24 hours open. Tried the minced meat noodle & Teochew meatball noodle. The meepok noodles were tasty, chewy noodles, covered with tangy savory sauce, mix with vinegar & chilly sauce. The minced meat were fresh & generous portion. Teochew meatball were flavourful.
View on GoogleSave your money. I love laksa, but the standards here are incredibly lousy. First of all, they ran out of hum (cockles) during lunch. This isn't a one-off issue either; the exact same thing happened when I tried to visit their Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange outlet on Friday night. Despite the missing ingredients, I still gave the food a chance. Huge regret. The laksa was entirely tasteless. I left the place frustrated and I am definitely never returning.
View on GoogleAs a nearby resident to this 24/7 eatery at The Rail Mall, I am thankful that this place is still going strong, because of its nonstop operating hours and offering very decent food at very reasonable prices. Today, I was here for lunch and I ordered a Minced Meat Noodle Dry with Mee Kia that was very flavourful and very satisfying gastronomically speaking. My order was taken in a very friendly manner and it was served to me over the counter in the same manner. The dining ambience here was comfortable enough with the seating area laid out spaciously and in air-conditioned comfort.
View on GoogleSave yourself the trip here- food is bad, service is better at an ordering kiosk, aircon is switched off when we came for supper at 10pm. Curry rice was disappointing - hardly came with any pork gravy, the curry itself was of a thick texture, as though thickened with corn starch. The vegetables were sour for some reason. Laksa- they ran out of cockles for the day. Tried it anyway but should've read the reviews beforehand. Has zero chili, staff gave a pitiful amount of soup barely enough to cover the noodles. Too much coconut milk and lacked any spiciness. Staff flat out turned us down when we asked for a little more soup.
View on GoogleA stall attendant's nonchalant attitude at the Rail Mall outlet irked me. When I showed her a thin layer of oil floating in a cup of coffee that I had bought from her, without even looking at it, she dismissed the claim and unapologetically refused my request for a replacement.
