A hidden little reward tucked away within Hindhede Nature Park. The short climb up to Colugo Deck is well worth the effort, offering a peaceful elevated viewpoint overlooking the former quarry and surrounding greenery I particularly liked the thoughtful design inspired by the Malayan colugo, as well as the educational signs highlighting local wildlife. The deck is quiet and a great place to pause, catch your breath, and appreciate how much nature Singapore has managed to preserve amidst the urban landscape
View on GoogleA very relaxing morning walk. Easy for all ages for the first part. Gentle, well constructed and maintain walkways leading to the discarded quarry. Your walk can stop here or you can continue on to the Colugo Deck perched on the top of the old quarry. Not recommended for for some with trouble with stairs or uneven ground. Getting to the viewing deck will be some what of a challenge.
View on GoogleA nice addition to the rambling trails in the Bukit Timah Hill area as it has well designed walkways and a wonderful vantage point to take in the scenery without having to hike up the entire hill. Ample car parking on weekdays and connectivity to MRT and shopping mall is helpful. Lots of side paths to take you to specially curated areas (quarry, playground, birdwatching point)
View on GoogleColugo Deck is a peaceful lookout point along the Rail Corridor with great elevated views of the surrounding greenery. It’s a nice spot to take a short break during a walk or run, and the wooden deck design blends well with the nature around it. The area is usually quiet, making it a good place for photos or just enjoying the scenery. It isn’t very big, but it’s a relaxing and well-maintained stop along the trail.
View on GoogleNice hike! Take it slow and drink lots of water. Be sure to go up to the deck and enjoy the breeze and scenery! Depends on your time, you can choose to skirt the trails and busk yourself with greenery, or just head straight up to the deck. Slow down, and you can really see many things!
