the salt baked crab is DELICIOUS!!! so fresh & meat was sweet 🤤 ordered the satay & fishcake next to it and it was so good toooo the rest of the zichar was pretty average. french beans were delish, har cheong kai was pretty disappointing): bring your mosquito patches too!
View on GoogleI decided to try Ga-Hock Seafood because of all the hype, but it unfortunately fell way short of expectations. The service was incredibly slow and the staff were not attentive at all. To make matters worse, the pacing of the meal was completely off, with our dishes being served roughly 10 to 15 minutes apart from each other. As for the food, it was average at best. We specifically ordered their well-known chili crab, but the sauce was a total disappointment and a complete "no-go" for me. Given the poor service and underwhelming food, I definitely wouldn't want to come back here again.
View on GoogleThis place needs no introduction to people living around the area. Went on a Sunday evening and ordered a 1.5kg black pepper crab that costs $134. Accompanied with other stuff (claypot seafood $40, 2 veg dishes that costs $10 each). Decent meal, crab was extremely fresh and meaty. Perhaps the atmosphere may not appeal to everyone- think eating in a 80s setting coffeeshop next to a long kang. Would definitely return, mainly for the fleshy crabs!
View on Googleordered salted baked crab and to my surprise the crab came with very foul smell and some green stuff inside the crab. told the boss there and he didnt charge us for the crab. after I ate the 1st piece, felt nauseous and went to vomit at the toilet. suspect the crab was dead for a few days.
View on GoogleUsed to patron Ga-Hock pretty frequently for a quick & nice dinner. However recently the food quality has dropped drastically. Ordered dried mee sua and the cabbage is hard as rock and bean sprout is 80% raw, i have to handpick all of it out. Am i having a salad meal instead?! Then comes my san lau, its decent enough but sadly i have to discard all the fish fillet in it as it has a strong unfresh fishy taste. Have they change chef?
