Pig Trotter Vinegar will be perfect with a hard boiled egg - Dad The Hakka Fried Rice was not dry and tasty with evidence of wok hei. The Cai Poh Hor Fun was very nice too. Hakka Nook is generous with their ingredients. We thought we lost a good braised duck rice before but the new stall brought some high standard Hakka cuisine and we will continue to try other dishes in time to come.

Truly a hidden gem. Residents who never try their food don't know what they are missing out on. I ordered their broad bean rice, abacus seed and three treasures (yong tau foo). The broad bean rice is very affordable and flavourful, chock full of generous yam and Chinese sausage- it is like a spruced up version of yam rice. Truly delectable- I wolved it down within minutes. The abacus seed is a traditional hakka cuisine and I enjoyed their rendition. It comes with a generous amount of fried onion, freshly fried and has a right balance of chewiness and softness. The Yong tau foo is fried with broad bean sauce, generously stuffed and the fried tauhoo and pork balls are crunchy and flavourful. In summary, food lovers, particularly those who enjoy heritage cuisine, should give this stall a try. There are no incentives for posting this review and the owner didn't even request for it. But it's too good to not recommend.

Back to Bukit Batok playground and went back to our regular coffeeshop. There is a new Hakka store and I have ordered the Hakka Lei Cha. Even it is takeaway, it is still fresh and delicious after a few hours. The fragrance of the herbal green paste is superb, the taste is well-balanced and not bland at all. All the ingredients is perfectly cooked, the tau kwa is soft and flavourful, not those hard and cut gum and throat type. Overall, very comforting and easy to the stomach. I highly recommend the lei cha fans to gave it a try.

I ordered 3 dishes on 23 June 2026 at 7:00 PM. Only 2 of the dishes were delivered at 8:30 PM. We weren’t informed of the shortage before the food arrived. The stall sees it appropriate to change their customer’s order as they please⁉️
