Noodle was excellent with an al dente bite to it. Each strand was well coated and its sauce was flavorsome. The fried fish was prepared ala minute. Its batter was light and fish was fresh. A sprinkle of fried anchovies and shallot completed the dish. 4.5* Reasonably priced and the ladies are friendly.

The U-Mian (dry version) is a must try, super flavorful.

Tried Ban Mian Shifu at Bukit Gombak. It’s decent, but nothing particularly special for me. The noodles and ingredients are okay, but the broth is a little lacking in flavour and could definitely be richer. Not bad if you’re nearby and craving ban mian, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Zha Jiang mian is bad
