Often had their duck rice but decided for a change to try their noodle since having it for breakfast. However, they added too much sauce to it, as if I was having Lor Mee. Though I like their thick sauce but having an overdose of anything is never good. Service was also extremely slow, the boss just kept chopping non stop for essentially a small portion of meat.
View on GoogleThis popular stall often has a long queue, cos it is very affordable, tasty, and gives a good serving of meat. My dry duck hor fun was $4.30, and it came with a generous serving of meat. I’m usually not a fan of duck, but the duck here did not have a gamey taste, and I really loved their complimentary peppery herbal soup. The rice, and kway chap are also nice!
View on GoogleHad a plate of duck rice for $4.80 and it was surprisingly flavorful. The portion size was just right, and the duck meat was tender and juicy without being too fatty. The rice was fragrant and the sauce added a rich, savory depth that tied everything together. Their soup had a strong herbal taste — it would be even better if it were a little milder. Considering the quality, the price is affordable and definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!
View on GoogleBroth came with a film of oil which is off putting. Deeply colored but mild in flavor with herbal notes, pleasant but not exceptional. The kway chap platter consists of hard boiled egg, fish cake, large and small intestines, pork belly, dried beancurd, fishcake and pigs skin. The items are on a darker side indicating it has been well braised. Generally of good quality and no off putting flavors. The highlight was its pig's skin which retained a slight bite. 2 chilis are offered, tangy and crustacean versions. The latter was a star which was mildly sweet yet packed a punch. The queue moves quicky and prices are fair. They also offers braised duck noodles or soy rice.
View on GoogleOrdered duck kway chap, portion ($5.80) was generous and tasty. Wish the soup could be less herbal, but that's just me. Chilli packs a punch too, overall a good meal!
