How my first visit went: Hours ago, I was suddenly craving for afternoon tea and I dragged my brother along for a shuttle bus ride to Hillv2 for snacks. I had the Hainanese chicken chop and the pandan milk tea. The quality of the food and the quietness of the afternoon got attractive enough to bring my parents along for the next visit. That was last year. Fast forward to today, we were pleasantly greeted with full seating, a far cry from my last visit. We got the window seat and ordered more food to try. The pork chop portion was incredible, getting two large pieces that shrouded the pasta. I will say the same for my chicken chop. The aglio olio has a nice balance of flavours too and it gets addictive as you dig in. My dad didn't like his chicken rice and says the photo looks misleading. Take into account if you plan to order it. The menu is not too extensive overall, but there's enough to be one or two repeat visits. With other Nanyang style cafe opening around us, the competition is pretty rough.

New Nanyang at HillV2 - my wife and I were here today (27 January 2026) for brunch. It has been a while since we were last here even though we live "just across the road" in the Dairy Farm area. We ordered the following here today: two Handmade Yong Tau Foo Dry Noodle with beehoon for my wife and yellow mee for me - and a Barley with Winter Melon Hot for my wife and a Coke Zero for me. The Handmade Yong Tau Foo Dry NoodleS were (as we have had in the past) very good - with very good yong tau foo pieces all nicely fried and stuffed with flavourful proteins, and the noodles were nicely coated in a dark moreish sauce. Service here was very good - friendly and accommodating, which in the case of the latter, one could place an order at the counter instead of online. The dining ambience here whilst comfortable and spacious, sadly leaves you with cooking smells lingering in your clothes after you depart from the restaurant.

The exterior looked grand and there were many customers, this was what attracted me into the place. After entering, to my horror, my iced coffee was given hot to me and there were so many customers on their laptops, phones and on speakers speaking so loudly. The staff was also rude, unorderly and took away my dishes without even asking if I still wanted them. Looking at the pictures, you will notice my 2 sets of soft boiled eggs were inconsistent and were the lowest quality you can find in any coffeehouse establishment. My iced coffee was served to me sour and I left without drinking after the initial few sips. I will not recommend anyone to visit at all.

I visited New Nanyang Hillv2 branch and it was amazing! All the drinks and foods portions are big. And taste is savoury and full of ingredients inside. These days quite hard to find this quality of foods and kaya toast ! Ambience and cooling environment made my time here great :) Definitely Im coming back every day for my cup of tea/coffee!
