Commendable effort by the team to try something unique, although the overpowering flavours of the mains were not to my liking. Here on a weekday morning (no queue), my husband and I had the highly raved about Surf and Turf Laksa Chee Cheong Fun ($18), Chilli Crab Shashuka ($18) and an extra side of Sourdough with unsalted butter ($7). Our favourite was... the Sourdough. The Colombian El Indio coffee ($4.5 - $5.5) was genuinely good but paired with the laksa and chilli crab sauce, my fatigued taste buds could barely make out the flavors after. Verdict: I have to say this place is truly a rare haunt on the rooftop of an industrial building with vibes the envy of many cafes out there. If you're looking more for a fast food experience in a charming location, I'd give it a go. But sometimes, less is more.
View on GoogleVery nice food and ambience. Enjoyed the squid ink fried rice and chili crab & mantou. Coconut brew is v refreshing. Not too many seats so reserve if coming during peak hours. Have road side parking but limited slots.
View on Google⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Coexist Coffee Co. @Hillview is a weekend favorite. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly, making every visit feel welcoming and relaxed. Their big breakfast is a standout—generous portions, well‑cooked, and perfect for starting the day right. Pair it with their excellent coffee and you’ve got a spot that balances great food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for a satisfying weekend brunch.
View on GoogleHidden gem with seriously good vibes and food to match. Tucked away in an industrial area, this place has that minimalist, slightly “secret café” feel that makes the visit a bit more special. Ordered the sandwich with fries and a coffee — both delivered. The sandwich was hearty and well-balanced (loved the soft bread with the creamy filling and fresh toppings), and the fries were crispy and addictive. The coffee was smooth and well-executed, with nice latte art to top it off ☕️ Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed but still lively — great spot for a casual brunch or catching up with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to, especially if you enjoy good café food in a unique setting.
View on GoogleI visited Co Exist Hillview for my yearly birthday breakfast, as I’ve enjoyed previous visits, but this time the experience was very disappointing. The coffee was fine, and visually the dishes looked good (photos attached). Unfortunately, the taste and execution did not match the presentation at all. The fish and chips had a very hard, dry batter, and the salad was just plain greens — missing items that were previously standard, such as pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, and even a lemon wedge. The laksa sauce was extremely thick and tasted like it had been reheated or improperly prepared. The mala wings were also not what was described on the menu. The batter was similarly dry and hard, and the sauce leaned sweet with no noticeable mala flavour at all. Their signature Co Exist breakfast was another letdown. The sausage appears to have changed and was very dry, and the eggs were overcooked and no longer creamy, which is very different from what I’ve had in previous years. I raised this politely with the staff on duty, who offered a refund on the foods after checking with the manager. I was told the manager would call me, but no one followed up. Overall, the value for money was very poor. Neighbourhood western stalls could deliver better-tasting food at 50–60% lower of the price. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s only fair to be honest so customers know what to expect. I hope management reviews consistency, menu accuracy, and quality control, as this was not the standard I remembered — especially for a birthday visit.
