Stumbled upon this eatery while dining at the coffee shop next door. So we came back and tried it. The first time, we tried the wanton mee and char siew with roast pork rice. The wanton mee was ok. The char siew and roast pork were really good. 2nd time, we tried the curry chicken noodles, which was decent, and the roast chicken with roast pork. Again, the roast pork was delicious. Worth checking out if you are around the area.
View on GoogleCrispiest pork belly ever. Charred on the outside with charcoal slightly which is how I like it. Duck is very flavourful and they give the herbal stuffing which is sweet and juicy. Eat with plain rice is 10/10
View on GoogleMy partner and I visited this place as it is one which she frequents. It was my virgin experience. We got rice Chicken rice and roasted pork and boy was the food good. What stood out to me was the chili and the soup which had chicken bits in it. I believe that the chili makes or breaks the dish and in this case, the chili was perfect. Spicy and flavorful. I would definitely drop by again.
View on GoogleThis review is long overdue, but Xiang Mei Roasted Meat deserves it. I have to be honest, in all the years I've been their customer, I've never actually sat down for a meal at their eatery in Bukit Gombak. My family's relationship with this stall is purely for their fantastic takeaway char siew. For the past few years, this has been our family's go-to spot whenever a char siew craving hits. We just buy a portion (or two) to take home for dinner, and it is consistently excellent every single time. This is, in my opinion, one of the best char siews you can find in the western part of Singapore. As the photos show, it has a beautiful, sticky, dark-red caramelized exterior with just the right amount of smoky char. The cut they provide is always perfect, with a wonderful balance of tender, juicy lean meat and melt-in-your-mouth fat. It's never the dry, tough, or overly-lean kind you find at many other places. What makes this an easy 5-star recommendation is the reasonable pricing. For this level of consistent quality, the value is reasonable. For anyone living in the West looking for a reliable, high-quality, and affordable char siew to add to a family meal, I cannot recommend Xiang Mei Roasted Meat enough.
View on GoogleOrdered the wanton mee and add roast duck and one teh c peng. The noodle is good, with QQ feel and the char siew is very nice, one of the best I had for some time. The wanton and soup is good too and the roast duck is also very nice. After order then saw that they are famous for their roast pork, will want to try next time but the price is quite expensive. My order cost me $10.60, the review would have been 5 star is the price is not this expensive.
