The new soup stall braised items taste fine, and the amount given is ample, the rice(0.8) a bit mushy. I bought tau kee(1.7), tau pok(1.7) and braised egg(0.8), total $5. for ritz kitchen, i tried the chicken wings which they claimed to be roasted, but it was actually fried. it did not taste too good, not well seasoned, have to dip in chilli to make it taste better, not worth the price of $5 for 5 chicken mid wings Edit: I ate at the soup stall a second time and their rice texture is ideal, good improvement. Also tried the fried fish soup from aa noodle stall, tastes quite rich and full, the guotie is juicy, oily and crispy🤤 Edit: i tried the lotus peanut pork rib soup, super good and flavourful with a lot of lotus root and peanut I also tried the abc soup. Unfortunately it was peppery which i didnt expect. It had large pieces of potato, carrot, tomato and onion
View on GoogleHad a very unpleasant experience at Eightways Eating House. My wife had just bought a bowl of fish noodle soup from one of the stalls, and I brought along my own food so we could have dinner together. A drink stall worker came over and, in an extremely rude and unwelcoming tone, told me I was not allowed to eat there because I didn’t buy my food from the coffee shop. He even remarked that “water and electricity all cost money here,” which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. There was no signage anywhere stating that outside food is not allowed. If that’s really the rule, it should be made clear to customers instead of publicly scolding and humiliating them in front of other diners. To make things worse, the worker even took photos of me from afar, which was completely uncalled for. I initially planned to buy a drink, but after that treatment, I lost any desire to support this business. Service is atrocious, and I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone who values basic courtesy and respect.
View on GoogleI like the Zhu Chao ( 煮炒)stall, noodle stall & the newly open fried prawn noodle stall here, the chicken rice here also quite good. Their home made barley is my favourite drink as well. One of the unique proposition here is, you can enjoy fresh air 👍here, cause this coffee shop next to multi storey car park is on higher ground, unlike other coffee shop, full of oily smell .. Walking distance to the newly open Bukit Gambak park & MRT station 🚉
