The overall quality of the food here has really gone downhill. A few specific issues from my recent visit. The dishes were served lukewarm rather than hot. Portion sizes have also shrunk significantly—the soup bowl was less than half full, and the vegetable servings were much smaller than before. My usual favorite is the squid set, but they seem to have changed the type of squid used, and the portion was reduced as well. Additionally, the beef was tough, chewy, and severely overcooked. Quite a disappointing experience.
View on GoogleI was really disappointed with my recent visit here. The teppanyaki station was not cleaned properly between orders – the chef simply reused the same dirty cooking surface without wiping it down. I was shocked to see extra vegetables being left sitting on the hotplate, waiting for the next customer, instead of cooking portions fresh to order. This resulted in food that was overcooked and tasted far from appetizing. For teppanyaki, cleanliness and freshness are the basics, and this experience felt careless and unhygienic. Definitely the laziest teppanyaki service I have ever encountered. Not recommended.
View on GoogleWhat happened to the standard of the food. Scallops 50% smaller than usual. Sotong changed multiple times & still dont taste good. Marination seems different too. Have dined for years, not sure if I would come back again.
View on GoogleDecided to give Teppan-Yaki a chance despite its poor 2.9-star rating on Google, but it turned out to be a regrettable decision. The bean sprouts were badly overcooked, and I even found a hard unidentified object in the dish, as shown in the third photo. This raises serious concerns about the food quality and preparation standards. Truly disappointing experience.
View on GoogleTappen Yaki was an absolute delight! The food was incredibly delicious, and the entire dining experience was made even better by the live cooking show right in front of us. It was so fun to watch the chefs prepare everything with such skill and flair – it really added to the atmosphere. The highlight for me was definitely the stallion steak and the king prawn – both were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The accompanying soup and rice were also spot on, making the entire meal a perfect combination. Everything complemented each other beautifully.
