The steaks were cooked well, and the vegetables were lightly salted and perfectly done. The garlic bread was great too — not buttery, with a baguette that was both soft and crispy. Overall, a very good quality meal for the price. Would definitely return.
View on GoogleAstons has been a familiar brand to us since almost two decades. The price is reasonable for restaurant setting and comfortable for hang out. Usually dim with warm light it also provides good option for a group of friends who want to spilt bills. Customers can cutomize their sidedishes with the main, so it's easier to fit the menu to your liking. For those who are not familiar with the barcode, you can still order through manual way, however pictures/photos are limited to certain menus. Staff are friendly and helpful, but it was very slow when we were there. There was only one or two table besides us, but our order took forever and it was incomplete because on side dish was not ready yet and only arrived when we were almost done with our food. I think it needs to address this issue. I remember eating in this branch with more crowd and less waiting time. It's not something fancy, it's just onion ring. Having one item of food arrives long after the others is something that shouldn't happen when the restaurant is almost empty, especially whennthe first batch of food takes forever as well.
View on GoogleThe beef is consistently tender across all the branches I’ve visited. The drinks aren’t anything special, but they taste good and are refreshing.
View on GoogleNo crowd at 5.30pm on Wednesday evening. Ordered Vienna Sausages $5.90 for starter and soup with lemon tea set at $5. Then I ordered Lemon Lime Chicken $12.90 with 2 sides- potato salad and onion rings. Chicken was good. But for the Crispy Fried Fish $13.50 with 2 sides - fries and mac n cheese, the fish was over fried, very dry. Mac n cheese was lukewarm. I later added rootbeer float. The root beer didn't taste good, I left half a mug untouched. Overall, service was good but food needs improvement.
View on GoogleCame by to get a quick lunch around 2pm but appetite was totally ruined. Staffs were kind and courteous, but the chef need some quality control. I had ordered a char grill chicken and fried fish meal. The fish was fine, but I have my doubts on the chicken. Mac and cheese was watery and tasteless, the chicken chop looked undercooked with it still being in pink. I have my doubts and thus checked with the “manager” in black shirt, but was told yes this is cooked. The chicken was somewhat jelly on the inside and pinkish, after i scrapped the sauce that was slapped on top of it. Had a bite of it, but it was definitely difficult to chew, like jelly Would have preferred for the manager to at least bring it back to the kitchen to check, instead of brushing it off with just a look and saying “yes it is cooked”. Terrible experience…. Therefore we didn’t eat the chicken…
