Had lunch with relatives at Nanyang Dao, Sun Plaza on a sunny weekend. Luckily, we arrived before the lunch crowd and managed to get a round table. The place became quite packed shortly after, so understandably, the food took a little longer to be served. I especially loved the KL-style Hokkien Mee, thick noodles coated in a rich, dark and savoury sauce. I was told this is one of the popular dishes to try when in Malaysia, and I can understand why! 😋 The nasi lemak was another favourite 😊fragrant, flavourful and really yummy 🤤 Overall, a nice place for a casual meal with family, especially if you enjoy Malaysian-style comfort food. Best to come slightly before peak lunch hours if you want to avoid the crowd.

If you love Malaysian food, this is definitely one to check out. The Selayang Big Bowl Curry Noodle and Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah were the standouts for me. Both were really fragrant and packed with flavour. The curry noodles came loaded with ingredients and even had two types of noodles, while the nasi lemak was super fragrant and came with nicely fried, crispy chicken 👌 The drinks were really cute too, and surprisingly not overly sweet! The desserts didn't stand out quite as much for me, though the Puppy Love Ice Kachang was pretty interesting with bandung syrup drizzled over the top. They've also recently launched a Kit Kat collaboration, so of course we had to try it 👀 The Kit Kat Toast was my favourite!! Thick, chocolatey spread packed with crunchy bits, paired with light and crispy toast. The Kit Kat Polo Bun didn't pair as well for me, as the filling made the bun feel a little heavy. Overall, Nanyang Dao is a great option for an affordable and filling meals. Portions are generous and they don't skimp on the ingredients. I'd definitely be back for the mains and that Iced Milo Dinosaur 💯

Had the lemon fried chicken rice set with iced wintermelon tea and added the signature polo bun with butter and condensed milk. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, pairing well with the fragrant rice and creamy coleslaw. The iced wintermelon tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. The highlight was definitely the warm polo bun—crispy, buttery, and perfectly complemented by the sweet condensed milk. Overall, it's a satisfying and comforting Malaysian-style meal at a reasonable price. A great spot for a casual lunch if you're at Sun Plaza.

Their food never fails to impress! Everything we ordered was delicious and consistently good. The only downside is that it’s always very crowded, and the seating arrangement is quite tight, so it can feel a little cramped during peak hours. Overall, it’s still a place I’d gladly come back to!

The staff are very friendly and polite. Lunch time set combo comes with a drink and maincourse all under $9.90. We had a white bee hoon lala and rendang chicken mee siam. Both were delicious. Not too crowded. Will definitely be back again.
