⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing katsu curry don. The katsu was dry and not crispy — it felt like the pork had been left out too long and then refried, making the coating tough and chewy instead of light and crunchy. There also wasn’t enough curry sauce, so the dish felt dry overall, and the rice was dry and a bit hard too. The portion size was okay, but I really cannot justify the price for the quality. Even after the 20% Friend of Mandai discount, it was about $15 — and honestly it wasn’t worth it. I wouldn’t even pay $5 for this. Definitely not something I would order again.
View on GoogleDecent food at decent price at a tourist attraction. Has air-con so it’s a good respite from the heat.
View on GoogleI ordered fish and chips for my elderly clients from Ling Kwang Home for Senior Citizens. Was a big order (20 plates) and the staff at food central went above and beyond to prepare the tables, removed the chairs for our wheelchair clients to sit and enjoy their food in comfort! You guys made our day!!!! Thank you for the excellent service guys!!!! Well done!!!! All staff polite and always ready to assist!
View on GoogleI ordered the Seafood Fried Salted Egg Udon and was impressed by both the taste and presentation; it was restaurant standard, not what you’d expect to find in a food court. In terms of ambiance, there were plenty of seats available and the place was quite clean. I definitely would recommend this place for a casual meal at Bird Paradise.
View on GooglePrices are of tourists’ wallets which are explainable. The only strange thing is that they want you to use Mandai app to order food and yet their staff (especially the Roast store) refuse to let you collect your food until they scroll through your phone. My food was left there for about 5mins because the staff said it was not my order, when it was. So why should one use the app to order when their staff do not recognise the app order and only recognise the buzzer?
