A familiar and convenient spot for local favourites. I mainly come here for the briyani and Indian rojak. The briyani is fragrant and satisfying, while the Indian rojak has a good variety of ingredients and flavours. The place has a wide selection of dishes, snacks and drinks, with a lively, casual atmosphere. It’s also open 24 hours, which makes it a convenient option whenever you’re craving a hearty meal. For me, the briyani and Indian rojak are the main reasons to return!
View on GoogleThis is a 24hr place. It gets really busy and crowded at night, so best to go during lunch or in the afternoon. Their mutton steak is good but beware of the chilli padi. If you can't take too spicy, do tell them when you order.
View on GoogleYikes! I didn't know this place had such bad ratings before eating here. I can only rate my own experience though. I have only been twice - once just for coconut water, and a second time for lunch. The veg. meals is quite tasty. With a boiled egg, it cost me 5.50 SGD. As an Indian, I can attest that the vegetable side dishes were correctly made, well cooked, and not soggy or stale. In fact, they were very delicious. The sambar was not the best but really good. The rasam was top notch. Overall, I felt I had a wholesome meal. Now that I see the bad reviews about hygiene, I am left wondering what I had. But as I was eating, I did look at their kitchen and it seemed cleaner than most other such restaurants to me. The staff were also neither too friendly nor rude; just another day at work. They were attentive though and asked if I wanted something to drink or anything else. I didn't have to wave or shout for some service even when about 6 or 7 tables were occupied.
View on GoogleNoticed some bad reviews here.. but I didn't pay much attention to their grievances.. this is to me one of the best prata in the land. Fluffy, buttery, mildly sweet, and superb with the fish curry 🍛. I'm not here to eat service or hygiene.. just a good prata. Their other offerings like Maggie goreng/ fried chicken, are not shabby too, just not pictured this time. Anyhow, this beats their next door neighbor (Joji's diner) hands down.
View on GoogleBeen here a couple of times along serangoon, and i must say, i probably wouldn’t return again… where do i even begin (1) Hygiene. Seems like a couple of the staff here lacks basic hygiene. Could someone ensure that they actually been to the mandatory f&b hygiene course? The prata dude was literally touching everything under the sun, including scratching his back, and proceeded with his bare hands to prepare food with the same pair of bare hands??? Could the management enforce basic hygiene please (2) Price. This place does not provide written price list for items like indian rojak, nasi padang items. the prices seems to fluctuate from my visits. (3) Quality of food is ok-ok. To be honest, it’s not bad, but it’s nothing amazing either. I probably would not return again.
