A Great Local Breakfast! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First time trying Srisun Express at Serangoon Gardens on 9 August, and honestly, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! 😋 We ordered: * 🫓 Paper Masala Thosai – crispy, fragrant and full of flavour * 🍋 Iced Honey Lemon – refreshing and a perfect match with the food * 🥚 Egg Onion Prata – crispy on the outside, soft and flavourful inside * 🥚 Egg Prata – simple but nicely done * ☕ Kopi Tarik – fragrant and satisfying Everything was tasty, portions were good and the overall experience was better than we expected. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back again today to try some other dishes! And once again, we were pleasantly surprised! 😍 This time we had: * 🥞 Appam with Milk – soft, light and nicely paired with the milk * 🍜 Bee Hoon Goreng – flavourful and satisfying * 🦐 Putih with Prawn Vadai – the prawn vadai was especially enjoyable! * 🍋 Iced Sour Plum Limau – refreshing with a nice sweet-sour kick * ☕ Kopi O – a good, aromatic local kopi to round off the meal Two visits and both experiences were consistently good. Srisun Express has definitely become one of our places to consider when looking for a satisfying local breakfast. Great food, good variety and very reasonable for a casual breakfast. Will definitely be back again to explore more of the menu! 👍😋 Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
View on GoogleFoods: we ordered plain, egg and coin prata, they are very good, crispy and not oily. Curry chicken was average. Service: friendly and helpful staff. Atmosphere: not crowded at 1pm. It's airconditioned but unfortunately still quite hot
View on GoogleHad supper at Srisun Express at Serangoon Garden today. The place was not too crowded, so it was easy to find a seat. It’s suitable for couples, friends or even big families. The only downside is that parking can be quite limited at night. We ordered the Nasi Briyani with Butter Chicken, Nasi Briyani with Tandoori Chicken, Prata Kosong, Prata 2 Eggs, Chicken Satay and Roti Tissue. The briyani rice was nice, soft and fragrant. The butter chicken was really good and went very well with the rice. The tandoori chicken was nicely roasted and had a good flavour from the yoghurt, lemon juice and spices. The prata was crispy and tasty, while the chicken satay was soft and tender. The satay sauce was also very nice. The highlight for me was definitely the Roti Tissue! It was so tall that you practically need to start eating it from the top 😂. It was crispy and delicious. For drinks, we had Teh Tarik, Lemon Tea and Iced Horlicks. The atmosphere was comfortable and not too noisy. The staff were helpful and the service was professional. Overall, we had a good supper experience. I would definitely recommend Srisun Express if you’re looking for Indian food, prata, briyani or a late-night supper spot. 👍😋
View on GoogleThe food is nice enough and the portion is medium, such that it tempted me to order a second round. The price is a small bit higher than other Indian eateries you may find in Geylang, but you're also paying for aircon, service, and larger variety in menu. The online ordering service is pleasant to use, btw.
View on GoogleIf you're in the area and want indian rojak, go opposite to RK instead!!! I had RK's indian rojak recently and Srisun's truly pales in comparison. RK's was not the best but that says a lot about Srisun's. There were many unique flavours to choose from e.g. Salted Egg, Red Bean, Kaya, Cheese, etc. and I had my usual order + Salted Egg. The dough was fried nicely, and Salted Egg contained a nice salted egg/curry leaf paste within which was interesting. But the main component of any indian rojak I would say, is the sauce. I think it's clear from the picture that the sauce is not dark red, and it was more watery than usual. The flavours weren't strong, and I'm sure any peanut satay sauce would taste way better than this. Honestly, what a letdown. I've always been patronising RK but decided to give Srisun a try today, which I shouldn't have. Teh tarik was nice, but 40 cents more expensive than their competitor opposite. Indian rojak costed $13.50.
