Ordered braised pork intestine plus tau hu plus braised egg and vege for a grand total of $7.50. Maybe should have ordered the $6 because it wasn't very filling. Tau hu and egg was normal. Vege was above average not overly salty and down without rice. Intestine was well washed and cooked without any bitterness. Reasonably chewy and decent flavor. Maybe the pork soup is indeed the highliight be intestine while reasonable is just okay lor because the braise soup was nothing spectacular.
View on GoogleThis used to be my go to pig organ soup in my younger days. Been eating from this stall for at least 30 years. The soup is clear but tasty. Very generous with the ingredients and the organs are properly cleaned. The braised intestines and the pork belly are sumptuous. Disappointed that there was no braised pork leg today. Service is really good by the young lady.
View on GoogleDelicious bowl of pig’s organ soup. Friendly service. IMO one of the best stalls in this food market. The braised items were really good too. 👍🏽
View on GoogleSoon Huat Pig’s Organ Soup has been one of my regular spots for weekend lunches and you will spot their long queues from afar as you enter Serangoon Garden Food Centre. I ordered my usual, their signature Pig’s Organ Soup ($4 for a small) and topped up with a side of braised pig’s intestines (price varies on what you pick) and a bowl of white rice ($0.50). The moment the bowl of cloudy soup is served, you could smell the peppery, robust broth. It is full of ingredients like lean pork slices, pig’s innards, pig’s stomach, pig’s liver, salted vegetables, and sliced tomatoes. The salted vegetables give a salty, sour flavour that really opens up your appetite while you get the sweetness from the pork. Accompanied with a light kick of spice from the white pepper, the sliced tomatoes add a nice mild sweet aftertaste. To finish off, it’s topped with a drizzle of garlic oil and fried garlic bits. For the braised intestines, I love how well seasoned and savoury it is. The gravy goes so well with the white rice, making it so satisfying. One thing that I think they did very well consistently is how all the innards are well cleaned without any foul smell. Do come early as they usually sell out by 2pm. This is, in my opinion, one of the best Pig Organ Soups in Singapore. I might be biased because I’ve been eating this for years, but after trying so many places, this hearty bowl of porky goodness still hits the spot for me. In terms of pricing, they have been keeping it very affordable and the couple running the stalls are some of the nicest hawkers you would meet. Best part? FREE REFILLS FOR THAT HEARTY BROTH!
View on GoogleI had a wonderful meal at Soon Huat, a hawker stall that serves pig’s organ soup and braised pork trotter in Sera goon Garden Hawker Centre. The pig’s organ soup was clear and flavorful, with a variety of organs such as liver, kidney, stomach, and intestines. The organs were tender and fresh, and the soup had a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness. The braised pork trotter was also delicious, with the meat falling off the bone and the skin melting in my mouth. The gravy was rich and savory, and went well with the rice and chilli sauce. The chilli sauce was tangy and spicy, and added a nice kick to the dishes. The service was fast and friendly, and the portions were generous. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. The only downside was that the stall was quite crowded with long queue all the time, so long wait is expected. I would recommend it to anyone who likes pig’s organ soup and braised pork trotter, or who wants to try something different and adventurous.
