The local kopi of our lifetime. From father to son comes this legendary coffee that commands one of the consistently longest queues at Serangoon Gardens Market. Rich, balanced, aromatic and strong with chocolate notes to die for. Felt my health bar go up and my cooldowns refresh. One’s never enough. Come get some.

Every hawker center has a drink stall but this stall is just more than ordinary. Their coffee packs a punch, which most reviews here agree. What I appreciate most is the amazing and consistently well cooked soft-boiled eggs. Owner does the cooking so there is no need to bring to table a mug of hot water and self time 7-8 mins and still end up with inconsistent eggs at most other coffee shops. When one does a simple thing, and does it well, it deserves a shoutout.

The peeps at Hwa Kee really knows their stuffs from their coffee to their soft boiled eggs. Coffee: Relatively thick & strong, 8/10 based on my own preferences Toast: Crispy on the outside & soft on the inside Eggs: Perfect! I don’t even have to scrap the whites in the shells. It just fall out nicely. $3.20 per set. Additional 0.20cent for C drinks.

Feb 25, seems like the only coffee stall around. Standard is good. Expert Q during lunch times.
