Aliff Nasi Lemak's another fantastic stall around my old neighbourhood (don't live there anymore). Honest owners – husband and wife team always smiling at customers. Nasi's fragrant with fluffy basmati, chicken's nicely fried, and the sambal's fiery hot. Delicious! Highly recommend if you're around Serangoon Gardens Market.

One of the best nasi lemak I've had in years. The basmati rice was flavourful, soft and not dry. Basmati if not done well will end up dry. Not at Aliff's. Chicken wing batter has a nice spice filled taste. Masita served us with first class standard. She's so polite and welcoming. Overall a 5 star experience in a hawker centre.

Nasi Lemak (SGD $6) @ Aliff Nasi Lemak. . Established in June 2005 by wife-husband owners Masita Ghani and Mohammad Firuz Samuri and named after their son (Ashraff, nicknamed 'Aliff', who now helps out here), this stall is beloved for their traditional, unpretentious, everyday-comfort rendition. . The neatly plated dish has a bed of fragrant long-grain basmati rice, the aroma and taste of coconut milk and pandan / screwpine leaves gently perfuming the dish, carrying grainy earthy milky floral sweet flavour. The crispy crunchy deep-fried ikan bilis / anchovies is golden with a mild fishy salty savoury balanced flavour, while the juicy cucumber has vegetal sweet flavour, and the wobbly soft fried chicken egg carries eggy savoury sweet flavour. . The otak-otak / otah / spiced mackerel fish paste is soft with a lingering kick of fishy savoury spice flavour, while the deep-fried turmeric marinated chicken wing has a crisp exterior and a tender interior that bursts with meaty savoury salty spice flavour. Their chunky sambal tumis / stir-fried chili paste has additional red onions caramelised within, resulting in a pronounced sweet savoury spice flavour.

One of the best if not THE BEST Nasi Lemak I've had the pleasure of enjoying in Singapore. Nasi Lemak seems like a simple dish, but when not done right, it can be a definite let-down. But oh boy, when done right - and the Makcik Pakcik team got it so right, Nasi Lemak tastes like a warm hug. This Nasi Lemak is flavourful, the Sambal is just nice, the Ikan Bilis crispy and delish and the Chicken Wings are just 🤌🏻 Simply superb!
