Saw the long queue and decided to join in to give it a try, but ended up waiting close to 45 minutes. Unfortunately, it did not really live up to the hype for me. The braised duck’s texture leaned slightly dry. The braised sauce was also overly salty to the point where I could not really eat the meat at the bottom that was soaked in the sauce without pairing it with rice. The pork belly was the saving grace though. It was tender with a good meat-to-fat ratio, and definitely the better item on the plate. The complimentary herbal soup was decent too. Overall, personally don’t think it is worth the long queue.

Very balanced duck rice. I got the $4 duck rice with egg, toufu and cabbage, total only $6.50. Comes with herbal soup. The braised sauce for the rice plus chili sauce is perfect. Duck breast meat is thinly sliced in the way I like. Reasonably priced and always consistent in quality. You get a very complete meal here. Highly recommended stall in serangoon gardens market and usually there is a queue for this stall.

Tried Ah Seng Braised Duck Rice at Serangoon Market. Popular stall with a long queue, especially during peak lunch hours (expect a 20 minute wait). Prices are reasonable. This teochew style braised duck rice is just $4 for small portion includes a bowl of tasty soup. They offer a variety of side dishes like toufu, braised egg, pork head meat, and more. Braise sauce is flavorful but not too overpowering , and the duck meat is tender because it is sliced thinly. Their service is friendly and efficient.

The braised duck rice is my all time favourite. Have been eating here for many years and the taste is always the same. Pig stomach soup is a must. Can't taste this anywhere. This is the best or not one of the best pig stomach soup in singapore. The garlic and chilli is a perfect combination. There is always a non stop queue from 9.30am with at least 20 to 30 min waiting time but the queue is worth it as I don't normally queue for food. The duck is tender and worth every dollars.

Mar25, Ah Seng has been here for the longest time, it has been always very good. Today decide to post because it is hard to find this type of Teochew style, chilli was very good with the duck. Price for a person at $4/- very reasonable with rice some more. It is always crowded and expected to Q for 10 minutes minimum. Try the cabbage very good too.
