Hokkien mee lacks flavours and tastes too alkaline, noodles and bee hoon texture also too soft. Positive is that the smallest serving starts at $4 with a good sized prawn and some sotongs, but no pork belly. It was one of the great pioneer hokkien mee during its heyday but is now below average.

View on GoogleHad patronised Ah Hock Hokkien Mee since 35 years ago. Even though the founder retired and the son took over, it’s still upholding the same standard as the father. Kudos to you young man! The wife is helping out at the stalls and their service is impeccable. Keep it up! I would recommend this as the best Hokkien Mee in Singapore. Always my favourite stall.
View on GoogleMaybe in the older days, this would be a great pack of HKM. With so many other brands of HKM stalls popping out, the HKM industry also faces a lot of challenges. Ah Hock’s pales in comparison in so many ways with the new contenders. Maybe it’s due for skill futures upgrade as well. On a good note, at least it still tastes like HKM.
