Initially intended to have dinner at the next-door Cottontail cafe, we got attracted to this restaurant when we observed the food served at the tables. The restaurant itself was full with some people standing outside waiting for tables. Curious, we decided to give it a shot. The waitresses were very helpful in getting the waiting customers seated in an organised manner. The squid salad was visibly quite popular so we ordered it along with other interesting dishes like salted egg homemade tofu and seafood white beehoon (rice vermicelli). They definitely shone their flavours in our mouths. The salad was fresh and light. The salted egg todu had the right texture and rich flavour and so was the seafood white beehoon. The fried pork rib however, was quite ordinary. They need to develop more unique spice blend to signify their taste. The watercress pork soup was nice but had no special taste as signature. The individual size menu showed more interesting options yet to be discovered in the subsequent visits. We frequent this restaurant very often as we reside in Punggol. Food here is always fantastic and prices are very reasonable! The white bee hoon and Rojak kang kung (with cuttle fish) are must-order items in all our visits. Chili crab and steamed fish are always good and fresh. Make sure to call in for reservation if you are going in big group and for weekend dinner. Headed here after our walk to Coney Island, friend recommend this place cos price was reasonable. Tried their own version of white Beehoon, though have not tried the best, theirs was good, have the wok Hei. Seafood was fresh. Beancurd with mushroom and salted egg yolk sauce was flavorful and yummy. Mixed veg, simple and nice. Fried chicken with lotus roots was excellent. Show less

My mom and I came for lunch and ordered the black beans bitter gourd fish head. The dish is well prepared with the red snapper fish head fried before the black beans paste and bitter gourd are added. It is not salty nor bland and the satisfaction goes up as we eat it up with steamed rice; we need to cautious not to swallow the bones though. We will be back to try other dishes.

Wanted to try their tze char every time I passed by, so today I decided to try. Ordered a seafoods white bee hoon, which presentable with 3 clams and 2 little prawns, costs $6. Non of the “seafoods” is fresh, taste average and Disappointing.
