4.3 for great taste and relaxing ambience. Two of us arrived on Saturday 7.30pm, peak dinner time. Waiting time around 15min. Was glad the waiter at the service counter processed our orders quickly so that when we got our seat, the food arrived promptly much to our delight. We ordered the Claypot chicken and the frog porridge to share, plus a pot of flower tea. The food quality was superb, especially for the claypot rice. Well-balanced ratio of ingredients, overlapping layers of rice texture, as a whole, the various taste of the ingredients was brought out masterfully and it came together really well to make a great meal for both of us. Porridge is one of their signatures too, but not as impressive as the claypot chicken. Price was reasonable for the mains with rice, noodles, porridge but I found the vegetables and meats dishes expensive, especially the minced meat beancurd pitched at $14.90. I thought that ought to be cheaper. The service is not impressive but the basics were nonetheless there. I like it when they prioritise queuing families who has babies and is very efficient from beginning to the end.

I remembered A-One was much better, maybe happens these dishes ordered this time were less preferred. Generally it is acceptable, but was having higher expectation for its class. For froggie, I think it's always better to eat at its speciality restaurant.

Surprised and delighted to see an extensive vegetarian menu. For the vegetarian, we ordered the hotplate noodles (plenty of wokhei) and mix mushroom vegetables. Had the claypot chicken porridge and the sliced fish w ginger as mains. Very nice... Loved the pu-er tea with mixed fruits (i think). Complimentary top up. Service was good and the lady at the entrance was very friendly and helpful with our orders. Food was served fast and all came piping hot!!

Food was yummy - authentic a one experience. Understand that they were previously at the compass one branch. Very friendly service staff who could recommend dishes to our liking. Recommend the fish porridge and fried sea bass!

We had dinner here for Father's Day, and as expected, it was quite crowded. Beware though: the bundle set meals (as indicated by the huge signage in front of the entrance) is NOT available during the weekends (and probably PHs) too. What annoyed us the most was that there was no indication whatsoever on the sign that there were exclusions on certain days (please see picture below to check). Because of that, the staff only informed us about this when we set down and wrote down our orders (which we filled up while waiting for our seats). I don't want to say this was a marketing scam, but it sure seems like it. The least they could do was to indicate clearly that it was not applicable during weekends/PH days, which obviously would draw bigger crowds. Other than that, the food was fairly decent. We got a mixture of pork, fish, chicken, vegetables and fried rice for 5 people. The quality of food was above average and it suited my family's preferences. The food was served really quickly too, so that's a plus point. All in all, I would highly advise you to come only if you are prepared to pay higher prices because of the lack of bundle set meals on weekends and PHs. You will have to get ala-carte as that is the only option.
