Extremely long waiting time at yakun seletar mall. During my visit, I noticed that not only walk-in customers but also delivery riders were waiting for more than 30 minutes to collect their orders. The queue was very long, and many customers appeared frustrated by the delay. If the outlet is unable to cope with the high volume of orders, I suggest temporarily pausing or limiting delivery orders during peak periods. This would help the staff focus on serving the customers who are already waiting in the store and reduce the overall waiting time. I understand that the staff are working hard, but better order management is needed to improve the customer experience. I hope Ya Kun will look into this issue and take steps to ensure both walk-in customers and delivery riders receive faster service. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.
View on GoogleI’m a regular at Ya Kun and this Seletar Mall outlet probably has one of the largest teams of staff around. There’s usually a queue and it can move a little slowly but the food and drinks make it worth the wait. Their coffee is good, and we always go for the iced coffee with peanut kaya toast. Pro tip — request the toast to be extra crispy for the best experience!
View on GoogleI guess this is a franchise in Seletar Mall Ya Kun. Zero effort to ensure consistency in service standards across all the Ya Kun outlets. They are not too keen to do business. As a concerned customer after seeing several customers stepping on them, I pointed the dirty soiled floor to the attention of the lady staff with white and purple hair. She replied in Chinese. - “The floor ah? Don’t care I’m busy.” Ooooh…. What a shame! There are no more empty tables except these soiled areas and the 9 staff in this outlet just rather let it be. Terrible!!
View on GoogleOne of the outlets with the worst services. On 3 Feb 2026 around 2pm, I wanted to return the tray and plates and as I was wondering where to return, one tall and stocky Chinese man (sounded like a Malaysian - I was checking through past reviews and found the service staff’s picture) shouted repeatedly and impatiently at me in Chinese “here! here!”. The rudest staff I have seen so far. Thereafter, he just slammed the cutlery into the sink and as if I have owe him anything. I had paid $7.20 for a tea break and this is the service I am provided. If your staff don’t have basic customer service skills is best to hire someone else who does. I am really disappointed with this outlet.
View on GoogleMy first visit to The Seletar Mall was meant to be a delightful breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the coffee prepared by the staff member in red was remarkably disappointing — astonishingly so. Thankfully, I had brought my own bottle of water, which turned out to be far more enjoyable than the coffee itself On a positive note, the bread was beautifully crisp and genuinely delicious. The beverage station, however, would greatly benefit from further refinement and training to match the quality of the food.
