V nice food. There is about 10-15 tables set of 4. Staffs was v friendly and kind. Food is fresh. Especially now weekend Friday and Saturday will have one hr extended hour which people like us dine late will still have nice food to eat. Highly recommended.
View on GoogleWent to try this for the first time yesterday. My warning to everyone - please avoid this at all cost!! I was shocked to know that there is a minimum weight? The food doesn’t taste great. Condiment station looks pathetic. If want to eat mala tang, please go try Yang Guo Fu instead. No minimum weight! And you look at the condiment spread for Yang Guo Fu… totally much more prepared and clean compared to Gong Yuan. Please avoid and ban this black shop earning black money.
View on GoogleWhat happened gong yuan malatang??? Very disappointed. Been a fan since 2023, when it just had a few outlets. Now business is booming, many outlets, but could you please explain. What happened to the slogan "drink till the last drop". With so much chilli flakes, chilli seeds and herbs that were almost nonexistent back then. Now why have so much chilli flakes and I nearly choked on one of the chilli seeds. This is not the first time it happened, 2 months ago at the northpoint I also had this same experience in my soup but I thought maybe it was just that day since I was the 1st customer that day. But now, all I can say is I am really sad and disappointed. What used to be my comfort food, where I could actually enjoy the whole bowl became this. Is this truly what happens everytime, be it people or shops forgetting their roots, why they began???
View on GoogleCraving mala tang, we decided to check this place out. There was a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, and the soup base didn’t disappoint. We went with the spiciest level, and it hit the spot! Best of all, it seemed free of MSG since I didn’t feel thirsty afterward. The only letdown was the separately ordered dumplings, which were steamed and rather underwhelming. On the upside, there were a few condiments available to enhance the soup, and the kimchi side dish was a nice touch, tangy without being overly sour. The ambiance was spacious and cozy, and the service was pleasant throughout.
View on GoogleAt Gong Yuan Mala Tang, the fun starts before you even take a bite—because you get to pick your own ingredients! Load up your bowl with your favorite meats, seafood, and veggies, then hand it over and watch the magic happen. I went for a spicy tom yum soup base. The tangy, spicy, and oh-so-appetizing, it wakes up your taste buds with every slurp. The broth clings lovingly to the ingredients, soaking them in its bold, citrusy heat. Visited in Jan 2025 Tried the pickled vegetable soup and instantly fell in love with it! The tangy sourness with a subtle kick of spice makes it incredibly appetizing. The portion size was impressively generous — the bowl was bigger than both our faces combined! Big thanks for the deliciously cooked meal Visited in Jun 2025
