This place offers value for money! The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the portions are generous, and every dish is full of delicious flavor. Everything we tried was satisfying, and the quality really exceeded my expectations. It’s definitely become my new go-to spot for Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!

I only managed to snap a few photos from the 7 items that we ordered. My favourite is the fried rice and tempura. I decided to meet my friend here who visited from Indonesia. The food ingredients were fresh, taste was not bad at all and affordable. Service was great with friendly staffs. The ambience is not as per what expected compared to what I saw on Google reviews. But then, I love the fact that it was quiet so we can have a peaceful dinner. Will come back to bring my husband next time.

Came here for weekend lunch and it was rather empty. I ordered the chirashi bowl which came in generous portions of salmon and tuna sashimi. There was also free flow water in the cafe. Underrated!

I’m not sure what it is, but Daya felt different the last time I dined there. I visit Daya every now and then because, honestly, the food is consistently good, the prices are reasonable, and there aren’t many Japanese dining options in Sengkang apart from Sushi Express and Genki. Daya is one of the more underrated Japanese restaurants in the area. Perhaps the word “Izakaya” in its name gives people the wrong impression, but that’s a discussion for another day. The food was as good as ever, and service was quick. I also noticed a few positive changes during this visit. Daya has started playing Japanese music that complements the ambience, and the service team seemed friendlier and more attentive than before. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I can’t wait for my next visit.

5 stars Daya Izakaya has truly outdone themselves with the revamp! The newly refreshed space feels warm, welcoming, and perfect for gatherings — almost like stepping into a cozy Japanese family restaurant. What really stands out is the massive variety of food options available. From classic sushi and sashimi to hearty rice bowls, grilled skewers, and even kids-friendly meals — there’s something for everyone, young or old. You can clearly tell they’ve put thought into making it a place for families and groups to enjoy. Service was prompt and friendly, and the overall vibe was relaxed yet authentic. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or celebrating with loved ones, Daya Izakaya now ticks all the right boxes. Highly recommend checking out the new concept! Will definitely be back.
