Quick dinner date at Sukiya! 🥢✨ Stopped by the Sengkang Grand Mall outlet for a quick bite with my SO! Here’s what we ordered: Her Bowl: Kimchi Low Carb Gyudon 🥬🥩 (Paired with an Iced Strawberry Matcha 🍓🍵) My Bowl: Half Boiled Egg Spring Onion Beef Yakiniku Bowl 🥚🧅🥩 (Paired with an Iced Cafe Au Lait ☕️) My Yakiniku bowl hit the spot with that runny egg and heavy green onion topping! But my SO noticed something missing in hers—they completely forgot to put the sauce inside her Kimchi Low Carb Gyudon! 😅 It was a bit dry without it, but overall still a nice, quick meal. Sengkang peeps, what’s your usual go-to order at Sukiya? 👇 #SukiyaSG #SengkangGrandMall #SengkangFood #SengkangEats #Gyudon #YakinikuBowl #JapaneseFoodSG #SgFoodie #SgEats #SingaporeFoodie #SgFoodPorn #LowCarbSG #DinnerDate #SupportLocalSG #mealsphotos @sukiya.singapore

I’m quite disappointed with the quality control of this Sukiya low-carb gyudon order. I have ordered this many times before, but this is the first time the portion was this bad. The beef portion was extremely small, with only about three small pieces given, and the salad inside was also very little. For a dish that is supposed to replace rice with salad and still feel like a proper meal, the portion was really not acceptable. I usually enjoy ordering this item, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope Sukiya can look into the consistency and portion control, because customers should not receive such a poor serving compared to the usual standard.

Situated strategically facing the concourse area of this mall, it provides a quick meal with reasonable flavours. Service is average, not terribly friendly but polite enough. There is quite a variety of dishes, from noodles to rice and side dishes. Their signature Curry meals are filling enough, though you might consider getting some extra vegetables for greens. Honestly, their gyudons and other dons are better than ramen. Seating is easy to find as there are tables for small groups as well as bar seating for individuals.

My go-to gyudon in SG. Fuss-free. This visit here at SK Grand, had a okonomiyaki gyudon bowl. Trying out for the first time. Had a large portion and added an extra egg. Set is usually karaage with miso soup for me. Taste of okonomiyaki is there but the cabbage could be more. Gyudon great tasting as usual. Add some togarashi powder for some spiciness. Flowy egg made the entire dish perfect with some creaminess. Probably the reason why I enjoy sukiya this much.

Recently a small portion of the rice have been uncooked for like 2/7 of the visits per week. Like really hard rice... I had a fantastic experience at Sukiya this morning! I tried the Morning Set Meal, which is incredible value for money—the perfect balance of protein and comfort to start the day. A special shout-out to Parti, who was exceptionally polite and efficient. They made sure everything was served quickly and with a smile. The Gyudon was hot, fresh, and consistently delicious. Highly recommended for a quick, quality breakfast that even comes with miso soup!
