We had the TeoChew Batang fish soup with beehoon and rice as well as the Bittergourd fish soup paired with rice. SUPER REASONABLE! Their chilli is POWER! Batang fish soup was good, portion as well as taste wise. The fish was fresh and had a decent amount. They also asked if we wanted additional soup which we wanted. They added hot steaming fresh soup for us and we really warmed our tummies. Additionally we also ordered their Signature Pig Trotters which came with rice. Taste wise was decent. Portion was a person’s share but not much meat. Service was good but for atmosphere, although we came for dinner and it’s an air conditioned eatery; it was pretty warm as situated near the doors. Overall I would highly recommend this place for their fish soup as it’s reasonable and tasty! Yummmssss!
View on GoogleDelicious soup that pairs really well with the dry kuay teow. The chili was very nice too and it goes well with the fried pork! Drinks that came with it was also delicious! Overall this is a good place if you are craving for noodle and soup at the same time!
View on GoogleTried Laojiang many years ago at Punggol Oasis outlet, their standard is consistent over the years. The singature superior soup with dry tossed kway teow is satisfying, heard their black sauce and sambal is housemade. We also tried other dishes like vinegar pork trotter, double boiled chicken soup, five spice pork belly and prawn paste chicken. All were delicious, my family and I enjoyed the meal!
View on GoogleLao Jiang Superior Soup at Anchorvale Village serves comforting, home-style food that really suits my taste. The vinegar pork trotters have a nice balance of richness and tanginess, and the dry tossed hor fun is flavorful with a good sauce. I also enjoyed the double-boiled chicken soup, which felt nourishing and full of depth. For dessert, the milk pudding with peach gum was light and not too sweet, which I personally liked. The place is quite spacious and gets busy at lunchtime. Overall, I found the food enjoyable and would come back to try more dishes.
View on GoogleLaojiang has opened another outlet at Anchorvale Village. The environment here is much better than the Punggol Oasis as some effort is made on renovations. The soup are known to be authentic. The flavour could be abit bland for some but I feels very comfortable drinking their soup with mild chicken taste. The spicy seafood soup is very bold. Look really red but honestly not that spicy. The flavour is just strong. The fried pork is a must try side dish. It is very very fragrant and you might felt drunk eating it.
