I really like the small-town-like eating experience here. The food is delicious and very authentic. I love the robust rempah for the beef rendang. The sambal goreng has generous amount of tempe, and there are chunks of eggs in the stir-fried ladies' finger. The teh tarik is tasty and prepared at the right temperature. The lady at the counter is very pleasant which contributes to an overall very happy meal. It is a small establishment, hence sometimes the drink options may run out which is very understandable. I will definitely return if I'm at Sengkang General Hospital again.
View on GoogleVisit date: 16 Mar 26 Actual rating: 4.25 Their nasi padang is really yummy... but your pocket will feel the pinch 😆 I had rice with beef rendang and curried veg, which apparently made up a $7.50 set. Bergedil was priced ala carte at $1.50 apiece! The beef was mostly tender while I did get 2 pieces which tasted "old" (i.e tough) 😥 The rendang was savoury and fragrant, so shiok 😋 Curry sayur was light and the gravy wasn't too lemak to become cloying. Wifey told me this is the same curry used in their lontong dish... which means #MHTamChiak would be returning for a light meal 👍 Their bergedil was indeed tasty and not overly deep fried. But I did wonder how to justify that price tag for a simple (imho) potato patty 🤔 The teh tarik served here deserved mention too, for that characteristic (not so) spicy taste which is missing from most Indian tea places. Btw, wifey had rice with chicken curry and bergedil too. $6.90 for her meal... but I must say the chicken piece was way too small to be satisfying!
View on GoogleExcellent food, value for money and friendly service (in spite of morning rush). I went to the outlet at 7.30am and already there was a queuefor their food. We ordered 3 longtongs ( appreciated they took the trouble to pack to gravy separately. We also bought the beef rendang and chicken curry. Their selection was impressive as ther were a good selection of vegatable and meats. The longtongs were very generous in portion and the gravy was delicious. Although at the time of my order, the begedel was not ready, they offered the samosa as an alternatuve. Strongly recommendedas one of the noteable food outlets in Sengkang.Only noteable setback was the non avaibilty of delivery services. That would elevate this outlet from super to superb. Suggest they seriously consider this.
View on GoogleDefinitely 1 of the best muslim food in Sengkang. Located on the 2nd floor of SKH at the linkway to Cheng Lim LRT station. It is just 1 LRT stop away from Sengkang station. Had the longtong, mee soto and nasi padang so far. I can say I absolutely enjoyed them all. Food is delicious and sambal/chilli for each dish is super. Price is slightly on the higher side at $4.80 for a mee soto but it is fine by me for the quality. Although they open until 4.30pm. Food is mostly sold out by the end of lunch. It is a favourite for many of the hospital staff. Update on 26sept2024 Had mee soto again. Price increased to 5.20. Food quality still consistent. Quality is there. Really yummy. Update on 26mar2026 Some reconfiguration done for the seating. Had a longtong today. Because Mee soto and Mee rebus not available.

The seats are limited so many customers buy takeaways more than dining in. Review on their nasi padang: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was packed with generous servings of vegetables and potatoes and the drumstick is jumbo sized. Overall, it looks fabulous and it tasted really good! Review on their lontong: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was so flavourful and not that spicy, it was packed with generous portions of vegetables, beancurd, ketupat rice and a big hard boiled egg. Review on their snacks: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Their achar was freshly made and crispy and not that spicy but very fragrant. I love their mini fried spring rolls (4 for $2). Perfect snack to munch on. 😙 Overall costs about $16 including takeaway containers which I think it’s worth it for the food quality similar to restaurant standards. I will definitely return to try their Mee Soto / Mee Rebus next time. 😉
