Had lunch here at noon. The atmosphere for the indoor seating is very relaxing. Clean and Spacious. And airy. Good ventilation. Ikan Bakar sambal is delicious and cereal prawns are worth to try! Kailan is one of the best veg dishes I’ve had. Had Tiramisu to share and gelato for desserts. Team service is great.

Pre-order process was smooth, though there was an issue where the wrong type of lobster was served. Credit to the service team—they rectified it promptly, which I appreciated. I wouldn’t recommend taking any of the wines for pairing unless you don’t mind paying a premium for beverages that felt rather underwhelming in taste. The grilled items, however, were excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal—easily 5 stars for those. Pricing is on the steeper side, but that’s somewhat expected given the extravagant setting and overall dining experience. $197 for 2 persons.

Celebrated my mother’s birthday at Embun SG and it was such a great experience ✨ The ambience was really nice, cosy, aesthetic, and perfect for a special occasion. We ordered quite a spread, and everything was solid, but the salted egg crab sauce… WOW. Legit the highlight of the night 🤤 Even the kailan was super delicious (simple dish but done so well!). Service was warm and attentive too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to for celebrations 💛

We’ve been to Singapore countless times… but somehow, we only just discovered this place - all thanks to a local friend who brought us here. And what a hidden gem this turned out to be. Away from the usual tourist crowds, this spot feels like one of those locals-only secrets you’re lucky to stumble upon. Perfect for a relaxed Sunday late lunch, and honestly… it did not disappoint at all. We went all in with the pari bakar, red snapper bakar, kerang bakar, omelette, asparagus, and kailan - and every single dish hit the mark. Flavourful and so satisfying from start to finish. It’s true what they say… sometimes the best meals aren’t found where the tourists go, but where the locals eat. If you’re in Singapore and craving halal, fresh seafood and ikan bakar, The Embun SG is absolutely worth adding to your list.

The Embun SG is tucked away in one of the charming black-and-white houses at The Oval, Seletar Aerospace, which makes for a unique and lovely dining setting. We visited as a group of 10, although I had mistakenly made the reservation for eight. I completely acknowledge that the booking error was on my end, but unfortunately, I felt the situation could have been handled better. When I asked if the team could accommodate the additional two guests, the server/manager seemed unsure of what to do, even after I suggested simply adding two chairs to our table. A little more initiative and flexibility would have made for a much warmer start to the experience. The ordering process was also quite cumbersome, particularly for a larger group. The main menu had to be ordered via QR code, while the live seafood was displayed and ordered separately at an outdoor station. This made it difficult for everyone at the table to know what seafood was available without individually stepping outside to have a look. For larger groups, it would have been much more seamless to have a server explain the available seafood and take our orders at the table. The biggest issue, however, was the pacing of the food. Everything arrived at different times — the rice came first, followed by the snapper, lobsters, tiger prawns, Alaskan king crab and finally, the stingray. By the time all the dishes arrived, our rice had already gone cold. Given that this is very much a communal dining experience, it would have been much more enjoyable if the dishes had been timed to arrive closer together. That said, the seafood itself was fresh and enjoyable, and the beautiful setting certainly adds to the experience. Overall, an okay experience that was unfortunately let down by the service and coordination. There is definitely room for improvement, particularly when handling larger groups. Still worth visiting at least once for the fresh seafood and unique setting!
