Visited NOMADS for lunch over the weekend. There are plenty of open-air parking lots around the area, making it quite convenient for those driving. The café has an interesting camping-themed concept, which gives the place a casual and unique atmosphere. For drinks, we tried the mocha and pomegranate tea. The mocha is an interesting combination of coffee and Milo—it leaned more towards the Milo side and lacked the coffee fragrance we usually prefer, but would probably suit those who enjoy a sweeter, chocolatey drink. The pomegranate tea was simple and refreshing, though it tasted more like a regular tea bag brew. For food, we had the Tom Yum Seafood Noodles. This was quite different from the usual Tom Yum, with a milder and more garlicky flavour rather than being intensely sour and spicy. It could be a good option for those who don’t take spice particularly well. We also tried the corn soup with bread. The soup was light, although we would have preferred a stronger corn flavour, while the croutons were a little too tough for our liking. Overall, while the food and drinks didn’t quite suit our personal preferences, NOMADS has a fun camping concept, convenient parking and a relaxed setting that makes it an interesting neighbourhood café to check out.
View on GoogleDonkey, our children and Nitez Explorers cycling group stopped here as our rest pit stop after the kids’ road confidence training ride. Since it was my daughter’s very first time cycling on public roads, we chose this route for its quieter, low-traffic roads and NOMADS turned out to be the perfect spot to recharge before heading home. The place is so cozy and thoughtfully designed with plenty of space for a group like ours. We ordered drinks and some finger food, everything was served quickly and tasted great. The staff were friendly and welcoming and they didn’t mind us taking our time settling down after the ride. It’s such a lovely, relaxed spot ideal for cyclists, families or groups looking for a comfortable place to pause and refresh. We’ll definitely be back on our future rid
View on GoogleIced latte the way I liked it. Yuzu Tonic and Aerocano unique drinks too. Battered onion rings fried just nice. Camping chair was comfy. Environment relaxing. Music made good for the ears to enjoy. Great spot for dates.
View on GoogleFirst off, good things first. Service was impeccable, the team running Nomads deserves credit where it is due. Ambience was good too, they really made hanging out there feel like camping. Really pleased with how they put in effort to make sure furry friends were comfortable and well taken care of too. What I didn’t like? The food. Ribs were dry. The beef in their Beef & Asparagus rice in a Mess Tin was dry and tough. Sliders were a mess to eat. Everything else fried, like onion rings, calamari and fries, were so so. Come for the amazing ambience and awesome service. Makes a nice place to hang out. Just don’t expect to be blown away by the food.
View on GoogleSimilar to the review from Ed T, the service and the vibe here is great. The staff really puts effort to attend to each request, be it serving the food quickly once it’s ready or trying to get you to your preferred seats. Food wise, I was expecting something better, given the price point and the photos and the name. For eg, Mushroom Haven which was under the “Over Fire” section. I was expecting that distinct smoky edge, that balsamic tang and rich familiar parmesan. There was none of it. Or the Wasabi Crunch Broccoli. The word wasabi stood out first in the name, so I was expecting that sharp, sinus-clearing hit. It did not come. Maybe only a hint of it. So come here for the outdoors vibe and to hang out with friends under the stars, less so for the food.
