Visited on Thu night (~8pm). The charcoal fish head steamboat was terrible—tastes like straight-up milk. Fried furong egg was just passable. Beer menu states pints at $10 but they serve 0.3L instead and don't bother telling you. Indoor seating had loads of insects and cleanliness could be better. Outdoor seating is decent though, and there's a dart playing area which is a nice touch. On the plus side, prices are reasonable, and for now there's no GST and no service charge. Worth a 3-star for the value, but don't come expecting great food.

Today is the first time we dine at this place and was very looking forward to trying it out with my family. Probably one of the worst experience as the wait for the food is just too much. Almost all seats are reserved indoor and waiting time for our food is exceptionally long…. 40 minutes. Everything else comes after which also close to 1 hour to wait for charcoal fish hotpot. They mentioned to wait for the hotpot as they have not enough to cater to all tables. If you’re thinking about coming, Come prepared if you’re ready to wait maybe at least 1 hour or more, we are lucky we ordered before hand before everyone else comes. Avoid peak hour? Avoid weekend? Thank you to the staffs, I know it’s frustrating when we are hangry, they remained calm as they are short-handed. Please do something about it the management. You can take a look at our order stamp time, food that wasn’t served and all tables are just waiting for food. After we left people complaining they have been waiting for an hour why no food. Mostly cons and pro about it is the food taste good and no gst/service charge. Almost all order is ok except they ran out of salted egg squid last min.

Great dining experience, very suitable for big friend groups and family gatherings! Warm atmosphere and the staff are very friendly as well. We thoroughly enjoyed their signature wings, butter fried sotong and black pepper crab

Used to patronise their main outlet at Sembawang and when they opened a branch at Sembawang Yacht Club (which has ceased operation). Was happy to know they have recently opened a new outlet at The Oval (not so north up, so easier for my friends coming from other parts of Singapore). Went for my birthday dinner yesterday but was disappointed. I was a fan of their creamy butter crab but when we ordered one yesterday, somehow it didn’t taste as delicious. The salted egg pork ribs we ordered were also not fresh. One bite and we could tell they were frozen pork, not fresh pork. We ordered their crab bee hoon soup too. While the crab was fresh, somehow the soup just lacked the wow factor, compared with Mexxbxxn Seafood or Uncle Lxxng. The sambal lala was a letdown too. It was merely sambal sauce and egg, stir fried with the lala. It has been a tradition to eat my favourite crab dishes on my birthday. However, this year’s meal was so unmemorable. My friends paid for the treat, so I don’t know how much they spent. But from our dining experience, we did not enjoy it and therefore it was not money well-spent. Lesson learnt: for creamy butter crab, only go to their main outlet.

First time at this place. Simple and good food. Reasonably priced too. Had darts that was a plus for darters. Owner very friendly and approachable. Staff was attentive too. Only slight downside is the waiting time for the food, however, the freshness and taste compensates it all. Thank you.
