Absolutely unacceptable experience at this chicken rice stall. My family member ordered a roast duck rice takeaway during a non-busy period — there was literally no queue at all. They specifically paid extra for additional duck meat and an egg. After getting home, they realised neither was included, and had to make another trip back to the stall just to get what had already been paid for. What made it even worse was the “extra duck meat” given afterwards was mostly bones with barely any meat on it. Not even a simple apology from the staff. As regular customers, we’re honestly very disappointed. This kind of cutting corners and careless attitude towards customers is unacceptable. No matter how convenient the location is, we won’t be returning again. Please avoid this chicken rice stall unless you enjoy paying extra for nothing.

Update 17 Dec 25: Popiah stall was not open for the pass few days…. Finally after more than 15 years, the selection of food is what I like - especially Popiah at $2, very nicely wrapped, neat, spiciness I like, don’t have big piece of lettuce which some stall nearby have it and spoilt the taste which I think that stall was trying to prevent any gravy from soaking the popiah skin. Hence this new stall lady has wrapped the popiah perfectly ! I will try again tomorrow 🩷🩷🩷 not sure what is their stall name. Will share on their stall name if there is or probably I missed out. And the Curry Yong Tau Foo Chee Cheong Fun is also tasty, texture of chee cheong fun was just right. We are going to try other dishes tonight again 🤭.

I am extremely disappointed with the pricing at this economic rice stall. On this visit, I ordered what I would consider a fairly standard meal consisting of 2 meat dishes, 1 vegetable dish, and 1 egg, and was charged a staggering $9 before any app discounts were applied. After checking the Google reviews, I realised that I am far from the only customer who feels this way. There are numerous reviews from other patrons raising similar concerns about inconsistent and excessive pricing. This suggests that the issue may not be an isolated incident but an ongoing concern affecting many customers. I fully understand that food ingredients, utilities, manpower, and operating costs have increased significantly in recent years. Most customers are reasonable and expect some level of price adjustment. However, there is a difference between necessary price increases and pricing that feels excessive for a simple economy rice meal. At $9, the value proposition becomes difficult to justify, especially when similar meals can be found elsewhere at noticeably lower prices. What is particularly frustrating is the lack of pricing transparency. Customers often have no clear indication of the final amount until they reach the cashier, making it difficult to make informed choices. This creates a perception of arbitrary pricing and leaves customers feeling short-changed. I would like to ask Kopitiam to look into this matter seriously. If multiple customers are repeatedly raising the same concern, it may warrant a review of the stall’s pricing practices to ensure they remain fair, transparent, and aligned with customer expectations. If the pricing is ultimately driven by exceptionally high rental or operating costs imposed on stallholders, then perhaps the broader issue also needs to be addressed. Otherwise, feedback from customers may continue to fall on deaf ears while confidence in the food court’s affordability gradually erodes. Customers are not expecting economy rice to be cheap at all costs, but they do expect pricing to be reasonable, consistent, and transparent. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope meaningful action will be taken before more customers decide to take their business elsewhere.

Having the impression that economical mix rice or 杂菜饭,no longer at about $4.50 - $5..... I got a takeaway pack for one meat two vegetables for $6.30. Wow, I will walk to other coffeeshop near 622 is much more cheaper.

Other store is good…but this mix rice store is a scam. Named 合家, I can’t find it in the google map so I am sorry to put this review under Kopitiam. I had been giving it multiple chances and same, still scamming ppl…never had price below SGD 6 even when just getting 1 meat, 2 veggies and 1 rice. U will never able to get the price that they stated on the board…it cost SGD 6.30 for what I had in the photo…. as it should be SGD 4.60 on the board. Without a NTUC 10% off you better away from this store. Ps: I never take those labelled with price or look expensive item as you can see from my payment detail all stated as “NORMAL” but hehe scammer don’t care🌚
