Finally my fiend and I met at this restaurant at Waterway, Ponggol. The food was sumptuous. I enjoyed the Assam Fish after returning from Glasgow. I missed the spiciness and tanginess in food. Ambience was soothing and easy to talk with my friend. Price was reasonable. One area to improve is service. Water is chargeable which is ridiculous and they don’t tell you; only when asked. The tea which I ordered Tea Halia was superb. Do visit this place if you’re around that area.
View on GoogleRed Ginger at Waterway Point. The Penang Fried Kway Teow was highly flavourful, and the Nasi Lemak Chicken is definitely a highlight—honestly, it's best to stick to ordering their top 10 signature dishes. Their Nasi Padang section also offers a great, well-spiced variety. -Great Food & Value: Robust, authentic flavors with generous portion sizes for a mall eatery. -Cozy Vibe: Casual and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for family dinners or catching up over drinks. -Note: It gets very packed during peak weekend dinner hours, so seating takes patience and service can get a bit frantic, though the staff tries their best. Highly recommended if you're craving reliable Halal local comfort food in Punggol
View on Googlehad such a great experience at red ginger!! highly recommend to order their fried chicken tom yum fried rice, rice was super fragrant and the chicken with the fried crumbs complement each other so well (crispy and flavourful with the chilli provided) portion for both was super big!! 🥰 shoutout to the abang who served us yesterday! service staff was super helpful with our requests, will def come back again❤️❤️❤️
View on GoogleAdded on the egg bomb which costs $1.80. What was originally served was pathetic. No crispy bits at the side. Differs a lot from the menu. Generally sunny side up at Muslim stalls will have these crispy bits. Requested to return dish for re-fry. The second one was much better. To clarify, even though yolk looks fully cooked on the pic, inside was still slightly runny. So all good. Please remind chef to do a proper job in future. On a side note, the Penang fried kway teow was excellent. Amazingly good and v generous ingredients. Eggs, prawns, sotong. Accompanying chilli also good which tastes fresh and citrusy, cutting through the taste of fried kway teow.
