Love this restaurant so much. Although it is always crowded on weekends, the ambience is there! This restaurant provides wide range of food, all look great from the menu. The price is comparatively high, but they are well presented, big portion, and they are monstrously delicious. Highly reckon the wheatgrass tofu with seafood, duck roasted with angelica herb, ten wonder roasted duck, they are super additive and well made! If you are a dessert love, the pear& snow fungus with water chestnut is what you should not miss out. This is my 2nd visit, the food doesn't disappoint me still. The service is ok. The staffs are attentive, responsible, but the attitude can be better. Overall we have good dining experience at here still, would definitely revisit again.
View on GoogleThe food here is amazing! The roast duck is especially delicious — crispy skin, juicy meat, and full of flavour. Service is friendly and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. A great spot for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleThe staff at this outlet are mostly older and very attentive, which can feel a bit overly detailed at times, but they are genuinely patient and friendly. Food was served very quickly. I tried a few dishes for the first time and enjoyed them overall. The style feels like high-end zi char, but with a twist. The Cauliflower Claypot was really good. I usually find cauliflower dry and hard, but this one had a nice bite to it. My mum ordered it without shrimp paste, and it came with sliced chilli but wasn’t spicy at all—very enjoyable. The Baby Kai Lan with Salted Fish & Lime was another interesting dish. The lime gave it a really refreshing touch. The Crispy Lotus Roots & Pumpkin in Salted Egg Sauce was my least favourite. It was a bit too creamy for my liking, and I could taste some milkiness in the sauce. The pumpkin wasn’t great either as it felt slightly mushy, almost like it was over-coated. However, the lotus root was very crispy and nice. My favourite has to be the Hotplate Fiery Sambal Squid & Prawns with Petai. My mum compared it with the Vivo outlet and felt that the sauce here wasn’t as generous as the one at Vivo, where she loved being able to drizzle it over rice. That said, the squid and prawns here were very fresh and crunchy. The sauce leaned more towards assam than fiery spicy, but it was still very tasty. We also shared a warm pear drink with freshly sliced pear. It was rated C level sweetness, but it wasn’t as sweet as expected from that rating.
View on GoogleOne of my absolute favourite place to dine! The staff are genuinely polite, and friendly. Their prompt service makes you feel well taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food has been consistently savoury and delicious, especially the duck, which is an absolute standout. Great food and staff service, highly recommended!!
View on GoogleFirst time eating at Dian Xiao Er. Was attracted by the Herbal Duck which is suppose to be their signature dish. But, after eating it and comparing with The Dim Sum Place, I find the latter has better herbal taste because the herbs had been season into duck, while the one at Dian Xiao Er is not. Overall, food quite alright. More so with the bundle deal for 4 pax. But as a whole, it haven't reach my own 5 star because I feel the food is kind of like Zi char plus. Service and atmosphere quite good.
