Ajumma's (Waterway Point)
Ajumma’s embodies the vibrant, intense flavours of Korean cuisine. We love the comfort that Korean food brings to people, served up in bowls of piping hot stews, wok-seared bulgogis and crispy, savoury pancakes.

My daughter Aerin and I visited Ajumma's at Waterway Point for lunch recently. We ordered the Crazy Stir-Fried Spicy Ramyeon with extra cheese and corn, a Jujube Tea Macchiato and Dubai Chewy Cookies with chocolate flavour. The ramyeon was the highlight of our meal. It was rich and flavourful, with a nice level of spice that was well balanced by the creamy cheese. We especially loved adding corn to the noodles, which went perfectly with the dish. The portion was very generous for two people to share, and we unfortunately could not finish it all. On the other hand, we felt the Dubai Chewy Cookies were not worth the price. At almost $6, the portion was very small. We also did not enjoy the taste of the Jujube Tea Macchiato and only managed to finish half of it. The restaurant had a neat and comfortable setting, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, it is a good spot for tasty Korean comfort food, and we would return for the ramyeon, but we would skip the drink and cookies next time.
View on GoogleAjumma used to be our favourite place for Jjangmyeon, and we’d happily queue no matter how long the wait was. So we were quite excited today when we arrived at 5.30pm and found there was no queue. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. The Jjangmyeon arrived extremely watery, with what looked like 4–5 scoops worth of excess noodle water sitting in the bowl. I requested a replacement, and the service staff agreed that it was too watery. However, when the dish was returned, it seemed that they had simply poured away the excess water rather than preparing a fresh bowl. The sauce was already diluted and lacked the rich flavour we used to enjoy. The other two dishes we ordered were acceptable, but we could still notice a difference compared to previous visits. Even my 7-year-old son, who usually enjoys the black noodles, commented that “it’s not nice anymore.” It’s disappointing to see the standard of the food change at this outlet. We have always been loyal customers and hope this was just an off day rather than the new normal.
View on GoogleFood all very nice 👍 waiter serve us good they notice our receipt drop immediately pickup for us. Also add side dishes for us when noticed we almost finished side dishes. Good service. I definitely will come back again to this place. Oh btw, bbq beef is highly recommended!
View on GoogleThe bulgogi looked a bit dry but was actually soft and tender. For the kimchi ramyeon, you can choose pork or chicken and I went with chicken. The bowl came with tofu slices, a small bunch of enoki mushrooms, half a tamago egg, plenty of kimchi, and a decent portion of chicken. It was really spicy, had me perspiring throughout, which took away a bit of the enjoyment. Banchan is refillable, which is a nice plus. One downside: they don’t accept credit cards. Only cash, NETS, PayLah!, or PayNow.
View on GoogleThe service and atmosphere is usual but the crispy samgyeopsal with creamy scrambled eggs is something I'll never ever order again. The meat is ultra tough and totally not crispy. Took me very long to chew it thru. The brown sauce is extremely extremely salty. Very dissatisfied. Totally can't finish. Side dish is the only saving grace. Totally not worth the money. Should hv just eaten at Tori Q. Please choose carefully. We had a mishap with the 'crispy' options the last round now that i recall too. All crispy are not crispy at all. Informed today's incident to food server then waitress then cashier as all arrowed to the next person. No 1 apologised nor say will take the feedback etc too.
