Nice little gelato spot at Punggol Coast Mall with a good variety of specialty flavours. We got the banana matcha and the Bailey’s with chocolate shavings, both really good, and the waffles were deliciously crunchy too, great pairing with the gelato. Only thing is the staff could work on their hospitality a bit, a warmer smile would go a long way. But the gelatos themselves are solid, would still come back for the flavours and the great waffles.

Ice-creams are good. Not too sweet. Waffles are crispy on outside, but fluffy on inside. They have an interesting nian-gao-inside version, but it's higher in calorie (and price) without discernable improvement in taste though - Long food preparation times. - Non-existent customer service. Small cafe. Bright airy feel because of the full-length window (sunlight) and comfortable air-conditioning. Clean seating and tables. Highly recommend the waffle with single scoop of “cold brew coffee with cocoa nibs”. Happy mom and daughter customers. Will return with more family and friends.

The Better Scoop is a popular cafe for a reason—their unique Nian Gao waffles are excellent, offering that perfect mix of a chewy, sticky rice cake center with a crispy, fluffy outer waffle batter. They also have a fantastic, creative range of locally inspired ice cream and gelato flavors. Overall, it’s highly recommended if you’re looking for a unique and tasty dessert. ​However, the service definitely needs improvement. The male staff member took my order down incorrectly and didn't bother to double-check it. I ended up standing around waiting for my ice cream for 10 minutes. Great food, but the customer service flow at this branch could use some work.

Went to the place on a Sunday afternoon. If you don't mind waiting 20mins for your order then is alright. The male staff got our waffle order wrong and we ended up waited another 20 mins for our correct order to arrive. No apology at all for the long wait. Waffles and ice cream is ok if you can put up with the bad service. Perhaps should improve on attitude towards customers......
