First time trying Sukiya and I’m glad they have low-carb menu options. I went for the Kimchi Low Carb Gyudon ($7.50), topped up with vegetables and added a miso soup for $2, making it $9.50 as a combo. I mixed the kimchi with the beef, salad, and tofu, and every bite had some beef, which made the portion feel just right overall. The vegetables were crisp, similar to Chinese-style cooked veggies. The half-boiled egg gyudon in XM was decent, but not quite filling enough for my husband. Probably better to go for a larger bowl for men. We were served hot tea after placing our order, and it’s complimentary.

Just adding a review for my 1st time since they opened an outlet here in punggol coast. Went for the seasonal item. Salmon sashimi don with double half-boiled eggs. Topped with asari clam soup and chicken karaage. Nice outlet, nice environment. Food taste as expectedly good. Service missed a little when the server served only 1 egg instead of 2 as stated on receipt and their kitchen order. Will return still

Had a great experience at Sukiya Punggol Coast. Food was served quickly, and the beef bowl was flavorful and satisfying. Portion was decent for the price, and the place was clean and comfortable. Staff were efficient even during peak hours. Will definitely come back for a quick and reliable meal.

If you’re craving Japanese food that’s cheap, fast, and filling, Sukiya is a really solid choice. Their signature beef bowl (gyudon) has a perfect balance of sweet and savoury — super comforting and satisfying. Food comes out really fast, so you won’t have to wait long at all. Prices are very wallet-friendly too, around $6–$7 per bowl, so you can eat well without spending much 😂 Plus, it’s really delicious, and the staff are friendly with great service.

Sukiya Gyudon Curry - SLOW. - Your order may be missed out/ not delivered to the kitchen, but wait staff will insist the food is being prepared. This applies to both dine-in and takeaways. Yet, the screen will show your food as "being prepared". Same KPI-meeting problem that afflicts MacDonalds. - Has 30 min dining time limit? But food takes a long time to arrive. yet, Cleaner Aunty will clear your tray regardless. - Too much sauce causing rice to be soggy - May have missing ingredients (e.g. 1 egg instead of 2). Check your food. - May run out of kids' cutlery/bowls during peak periods - Many flies - Prioritises dine-in orders over takeaways - Takeaway orders need to be placed at kiosk, rather than from QR code on table + No Service charge.
